I woke up the next morning feeling slightly better. The sleep really helped. I just hope I get to see Asher again.
I got up,took a shower and got dressed. I went for a basic look. A pair of blue jeans paired with a white sweater and a white converse. When I was done I grabbed my bag and went down the stairs and into the kitchen.
"Morning burrito" Rosa greeted. She was whipping up some breakfast for me in the kitchen. God I missed the smell of Rosa's food.
"Morning Rosa" I greeted back, "what's for breakfast?"I asked moving closer to her.
"Well my dear, I made Fresh chocolate chip cookies with a glass of warm milk, I know you had a heavy dinner, so I wanted to make something, you know light"she shrugged.
Chocolate. I didn't even want to talk or hear anything about chocolate. I frowned immediately at the thought.
"Is there something wrong burrito, you don't like it?" She asked concerned and confused.
"Ooh no Rosa, I do, I was just thinking about something, actually someone" I said taking a seat on the dining table.
"Is it that not that dropped off your car last night?, or is it about your Dad?" She asked still focusing on whatever she was doing.
What did she just say?, did Asher come here?, and how did she know about my Dad?
"What boy?"I asked curiously.
She looked relieved after hearing my question. "He said his name's Asher, he dropped your keys and his number?" She checked a drawer and handed both to me.
"Thanks"
"Your welcome darling"
"I have a question" her face paled and she immediately looked away.
"Rosa?"Something was definitely wrong, she knew something and she was hiding it.
"Yes dear what is it?"She asked me refusing to look me in the eye.
"How did you find out about dad?, and please Rosa don't lie to me, I've had enough of it already"
"Your mom called me yesterday"she finally looked at me . Her words said one thing but her eyes betrayed her words. And that was when it clicked.
"Rosa did you know about my Dad all these years?" My eyes were brimming with unshed tears. She didn't have to say anything because the look on her face already gave me the answer I needed.
"How could you do that to me Rosa?"I yelled getting up from my seat as the tears started to flow.
"Burrito please" she moved closer to me so she could hold me. I forcefully pulled my hand away and she flinched.
"Don't touch me Rosa, why?" I yelled
"It was not my secret to tell" she said and I chuckled bitterly
"Great Rosa, just great!" I said throwing my arms in the air. I grabbed my keys and Asher's number.
I got into my car and dialled Asher's number but it went straight to voicemail. After calling fifteen times I gave up, and drove off.
My eyes were puffy and my tears were still flowing. I wondered how I had that much tears left, I expected it to run dry.
I couldn't go to school looking like that, there was enough gossip about me already, I didn't want to give them something else to talk about.
There was only one place that I knew will make me feel better and that place is heaven.
I like to call it heaven because it's so peaceful and beautiful. If I could live there forever, I would. That was the place Cade took me when I needed to clear my head. It was our spot.
