"Do you love me?" " Real or not real". Peeta asked me while he was laying in bed beside me. He seamed quite serious about this.
"Real" I replied pulling him closer. When I woke up I saw a small patch of sunlight peaking its way in through the curtains, then caught the faint smell of some baked good Peeta was most likely making downstairs so I slowly rolled over. To no surprise he wasn't there but I could smell the sweet smell growing stronger by the second. Then I heard the door creek and there he was standing at the door with some perfectly made cheese buns and what looked to be some sort of tart.
He seemed happy well he sat down beside me and handed me a bun. " Before hijacking I am pretty sure these are yours favourites". I laughed a little "well you are correct". He grabbed a tart " I thought you and me..." he paused. His face turned with anger but he didn't move thank god but after a split second he stopped looking confused then maybe almost mad but not a me maybe at himself or the Capital? " Are you ok" I said as I hugged him but he didn't flinch instead he just continued his sentence.
"Could go deliver some of the baked goods to Haymitch or Madge" "Ok sounds fun". Peeta seamed so much better controlling the impulses and his memory is almost back to normal. So I gave him a quick kiss and continued to eat my bun but I could see him blush a little.
Ever since the war against the capital 12 seems to slowly get better of course there's no seam anymore or hob but it's better than a bunch of rubble and corpses. Since Madge and her farther survived the bombs they have a new house built just outside where the seam used to be of course it's no mansion, but it's a fairly good house which is nice for me to have another friend since Gales been gone and Haymitch is usually drunk in a chair unconscious.
