OChapter 1: I Get Adopted

Elijah's POV

Hello there, I'm Eli. I've been in the adoption system since I was a baby, and I'm 14 now. I'll tell you more about me later, but for now lets start with my day. I got up from my bed and went to my bathroom, being the oldest has its perks sometimes. I brushed my teeth and took a quick shower, then I got out and put my binder on. Apparently we're having a special guest today so I need to dress nice.

I put on some black boxers and put my packer in it, then I put on black skinny jeans. I had on a black hoodie over my binder. I walked downstairs and sat on the couch while playing on my phone. I have a summer job, so I saved up my money and bought myself an Iphone 7. I heard the doors open so I looked up to see who the "special guest" was.

And there she was, one of my favorite singers, Demi Lovato. My eyes widened until she looked over at me, then I just looked back at her with my brown eyes and saw her eyebrow raise. She started walking over to me. I watched her the whole way until she sat down beside me. "Hey, I'm Demi. What's your name?" "I'm Elijah, or Eli." We spent the next 30 minutes talking about us and our lives. I told her about me being trans, and she accepted me instantly. She went to go talk to the other kids while I went back on my phone. Eventually she came back over to me and said " Hey, go pack your bags. I'm adopting you."

My eyes widened "What??" She smiled at me and nodded while motioning up to my room. I ran up the stairs and started packing all of my clothes, which admittedly isn't much. I'm gonna have to ask her if we can go to the mall sometime. After I packed all of my clothes, I walked back downstairs and waited for her to finish signing the papers to adopt me.

After about 10 minutes she came out of the owners office and told me that m new name was Elijah Lovato. I smiled at the sound of the name and we went outside to leave. She had came here by herself in her Jeep Wrangler that was red. Since I'm 14, I get to start driver's ed soon. It's currently March 29th and my birthday is April 5th so I get to start classes soon. We drove for about 20 minutes until we got to this 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house that was very beautiful outside. She gave me a tour of the house then showed me my room that hadn't been decorated yet. She said "We'll go to the mall to get you new clothes and to decorate your room soon. I hope you like your room, Eli."
I smiled at her "I love it! Thank you so much." She kisses my forehead and walked out of my room.
Well let's see where this leads me.
