Cole groaned and turned over to his alarm clock. Ugh, I forgot to disable my alarm last night. Waking up at 6:00 in the morning on a Saturday is never fun.
He rubbed his eyes and turned back over onto his side. Just five more minutes...
Cole woke up with a start and ripped the sheets off of himself. The sun was high in the sky, spilling through his windows. Oh God, what time is it? Cole scratched his head and grabbed his clock off his nightstand. 12:30?! Ohmygod ohmygod I'm late! I'm never late!
He rushed into his bathroom and snatched his toothbrush out of the holder, knocking the thing over. He yanked open the drawer and grabbed the toothpaste and his hair gel. With one hand, he brushed his teeth, and with the other, was slicking back his hair. In 2 minutes, he ripped open his closet door, looking for something to throw on. He quickly decided on a button up shirt and some dress pants. On his way out, he grabbed his socks, phone, keys, and wallet.
He ran down the hall and stairs into his front entrance and grabbed a random pair of shoes to throw on. Cole turned the knob on the door and flung it open. After Cole stepped outside, he closed & locked it all in one swift motion. He glanced at his phone to read the time. 12:45. Okay, okay, this is good.
He ran down his driveway and unlocked the doors to his Camry. He threw himself into the driver's seat and twisted the key. The engine sputtered to life as he laid his phone in the holder attached to his vent. He punched the address into the GPS behind it and rolled backwards down the driveway.
His ETA was 12:58. Phew. I'm going to barely make it in time. He thought.
