New Student

Chapter 1

"Cathrine Maiya Parr! Come downstairs this instant!" I heard my mom yell my name, usually when she yells my full name it's not a good sign.

I slowly tiptoed down the stairs fidgeting with m hands a bit. "Y-yes mom..?"

"Sorry if I scared you sweetie, but you know how your father got a new job...?"

"Um, yeah?" I think I know where this is going.

"Well you're gonna have to move schools."

"WHAT!" I covered my mouth realizing I just yelled, "Er- I mean I'll see how it goes.." I say giving her a nervous smile.

"That's good, and the school you're going to is: Tudor High."

I widen my eyes, "Um, okay then!"

I turn and ran upstairs to my room and jumped on my bed. TUDOR HIGH SCHOOL! That's like one of the highest ranked high schools in london! Well, I guess this is gonna be a treat!

"Also Cathrine I want you to be in bed in an hour, you better have a good sleep for tomorrow." I hear my mom yell from downstairs.

"Okay." I opened my closet and picked out my favorite pajamas. They were black with dark blue polka dots. I cleaned up my room and grabbed a book, after about 30 mins I curled up in bed and fell asleep with my book lying on my bedside table.

"BEEP, BEEP!" I could barely open my eyes, I shut off my alarm and completely forgot I was going to a new school. I got out of bed and got ready and headed downstairs for breakfast.

"So Parr, are you excited to go to your new school..?" My dad said, smiling.

"New school?!" I scratched my head. "Oh yeah~! Well I'm a bit nervous cause it was so sudden.." I say as the memories from last night come back to me.

"Oh, well I bet it's gonna be great!" Somehow my dad can always make me smile, it's like his super power to make people happy.

"Well anyways bye dad." I say after I eat my breakfast, heading out the door.

"Bye sweetie." He says giving me a smile.

I ran to the bus when I bumped into someone. I looked up and saw a tall boy, "Hey watch where you're going shrimp."

"I'm sorry, I-" He pulled my hair and pushed me onto the ground. All of a sudden I heard a voice.

"Hey, Henry! Why don't you pick on someone your own size!" I looked up and saw a girl with long wavy dark hair, pale skin, and bright green eyes. She reached out her hand, "Why do you wanna help me..?"

"Because I'm nice, now get up." I grabbed her hand, how in the world did he just leave her without picking a fight?

"So do you wanna sit with me?!" she said flashing me a smile.

"Um, yeah sure." At least I have one person to talk to on the bus, my other option was to read which I don't really mind doing. Hey, maybe I could finally make a friend unlike at my old school.

Her voice snaps me back into reality, "So, what are your hobbies?" She says sitting next to me in the bus.

Wow this girl really is talkative.

"Well I like to read.." I say shyly, I usually don't tell people that afraid their gonna call me names, but for some reason I fell like I can trust her.

Her eyes widen, oh no maybe I was wrong, "READ!? Oh, I'm sorry! That's cool, it's just most people don't like reading here so it was kinda a surprise."

"Well aren't you guys like the highest ranked school?" I say a little surprised.

"Yeah but most people here are stupid, I don't know how they got in.."

"Oh." I say looking down at my lap, thinking of what to say I decide to ask her the same question "So, what are your hobbies?"

"Well I do like reading but I mostly draw."

So she's the artsy type, that's cool

"Oh, I'm not really artsy but it's cool to know people that are."

I looked out the window, it's really pretty here.
She peered over my shoulder, "Whatcha lookin' at?" she asks smiling.

"Oh just the sky and trees."

"That's nice, but anyways when we get to the school want me to give you a tour?" She say her eyes lighting up,

I put my finger to my chin pretending to think about her offer "hm, yeah sure!" I say turning to her with a small smile. For some reason, she put her fist in the air, like a victory pose. I feel like this might be a good first day, besides the Henry stuff...

Eventually we arrived at the school, It looked like an old boarding school.

Wow! it really was bigger than I thought.

"So, what's your name..?" I competently forgot that we still didn't know each other's name.

"Oh, my name's Cathrine."

"That's a pretty name! Well, my name's Anne, Anne Boleyn!!" So her name is Anne, it's as pretty as her- Wait what, i wasn't thinking that!

"Oh, I just realized there's already two Catherines in our friend group.." Please don't say we can't be friends, Please don't say we can't be friends. "So I'll just call you Cathy!" She suddenly said flashing me a beautiful smile.

"Cathy? Well alright then." I say with a smile. I took a breath, I hope she didn't notice. We walked into the school together.
