My legs were brought close to my chest. The frigid air hitting me harshly. My teeth chattered together as my body grew colder. There was no way I was going back. Going back where may you ask? Home. That's where.

"This sucks," I hissed harshly to myself, as my hands grasped my white and yellow flannel, bringing it around my chest for the tiniest bit of warmth. the sun was setting, meaning it was almost night time - which meant it was going to get a whole lot colder. Tears started to form in my eyes, but I refused to let them fall. My eyes glanced up, the stars were starting to show. A smile playing at my lips. Stars have always had a comforting affect on me. They just seemed - so beautiful.

"Hey, uh, are you okay?" A male's voice snapped me out of my "day dream".

"Y-Yeah I'm okay," I lied. I was actually freezing and slowly and mentally dying. He didn't seem to believe me. Who would anyways. Half the people at school call me a Liar.

"No you're not, you look like you're freezing!" The sound of a coat being thrown off someone's shoulder rang though my ears. I snapped my eyes in his direction, his coat resting on my shoulders.

"Won't you get cold?" I whispered to him. He was awfully nice for a stranger. Maybe he's just trying to bring me in so he can kidnap me and kill me. "Are you going to kidnap me?" I blurted out.

"Wh- No! I'm not the kind of guy. Oh and by the way, I'm Louis," He smiled, extending his hand out to me. I half-smiled, my hand coming out from under his coat and colliding with his. Our hands shook. My cold hand with his warm hand. It sent tingles through my arm, making me tug my arm away.

"So, why are you out this late?" He asked, sitting next to me on the park bench.

"No reason..." I lied through gritted teeth. My teeth shut tight from the cold - trying to trap the warmth in me.

"There has to be a reason, and I never caught your name," He pouted, Honestly, this boy was adorable. He had the brightest blue eyes, that cute smile, and just an amazing personality.

"My name is December, and if you really want to know - I was kicked out of my house," I flat out told him. His looked shocked, like very shocked.

"Come with me - and I promise I won't lock you in my basement," He stood up and held his hand out to me.

"Promise?" I said with a chuckle.

"I promise," He laughed. He had the cutest laugh, kind of husky. I liked it. I grabbed his hand and he helped me up from the bench. My knees cracking from being bent for so long. We walked beside each other for a good, 10-20 minutes.

"How far do you live from here?" I asked him, my feet shuffling across the leaf covered pavement.

"Not that far, but a good walks worth," He had his hands in his pocket, "That's my house, right there - that light blue one, oh and I share it with four other guys, but don't worry - there like me," He smiled, fixing the beanie on his head.

I nodded my head, "That's good," We turned into his driveway, "Race ya to the front door," I shouted. He smiled deviously before booking it to the front door.

"Hah, beat you!" I panted as my hand touched the door knob before his.

"Well, poo on you," He stuck his tongue out. I laughed, my hand covering my mouth. "Your laugh is cute," He winked. Heat rushed to my cheeks, did he really think so?

"T-Thanks, your laugh is cute too," I smiled. He opened the front door, a warm breeze hitting us. He motioned me to to go first. I stepped into the house, small clumps of snow falling from my hair and shoulders.

"LIAM! I'm home!" Louis shouted. I heard clanging and crashing. My eyes widened as four guys came out of what I believe is the kitchen.

"Louis, you brought a girl home!" A boy with really curly hair wiggled his eyebrows, instantly making me blush.

"She was freezing at the park, so I brought her home - yes," He took the jacket from my shoulders and placed it on a hook. "This is December," He wrapped his arm around my shoulders.

"Hi," I said quietly. They all chorused their hellos, saying their name as well.

"So, who wants hot cocoa?" Niall cheered. Everyone - including me rose their hands. Niall took a head count and ran off into the kitchen.

"I should go make sure he doesn't burn the house down," Zayn stood up and trudged into the kitchen. We all sat in the living room, watching Home Alone 2.

"I love this movie, I use to watch it all the time," I smiled - memories playing in my head.

"Same, I still love this movie," Louis sat down next to me, a fuzzy creme blanket around his shoulders. "Want some blanket?" He asked.

"It's fuzzy so that's a yes," I draped one half of the blanket over my shoulders. A few minutes passed and Niall soon arrived with 6 mugs of hot cocoa, the mugs all designed with a Christmas theme. Niall passed them all out. I got a mug with Santa handing a child a present, I smiled.

"Thank you," I smiled, taking a small sip of the cocoa. The chocolate flavor filling my mouth - a slight burn but it didn't bother me. "This is tasty," I murmured.

"Niall always makes the best," Harry had already drank half of it. My eyes widened in surprise.

Maybe this is a spark in a new relationship - with four new friends.
