                                      AGE 10

y/n sits on her bed as she works on her math homework. "long division sucks." she sighs, setting her pencil down to stretch. as the girl is cracking her knuckles, she hears a slight thump on her window

"noah, what do you want." she rolls her eyes playfully at her friend. a handful of pebbles in his hand.

"i need help with the homework." he blushes as the girl giggles softly. "don't laugh! it's hard." he pouts.

"sorry noah, come on in, i'll help you." she smiles at the boy. the brunette runs over to her front door, a knock is heard seconds later.

"ok so, what do you not understand?" she asks the boy as he enters her room.

"everything." he flushed red, slightly embarrassed at the fact that he needed help in the first place.

"it's ok noah, math isn't for everyone. i can help you." she smiles at the boy, his mood immediately goes up.

                                        AGE 14

"i'm not going." the boy said sternly, making y/n huff, crossing her arms.

"come on noah, it will be fun." the girl was trying to get him to go train dodging with her.

"no y/n, that dangerous." his facial expression doesn't change, making y/n roll her eyes.

"please noah, i have no one else to go with." she pleads again, noah simply shakes his head. "ok fine, why do you not want to go."

"i know you like to have fun and be rebellious y/n but, i don't want to lose you." he sighs, fiddling with his fingers.

"o-oh ok, let's just watch a movie then." she's surprised at the boy's response, but shakes it off.

                                       AGE 17

the girl walks up to noah's window, pebbles in her hand. she tosses one up at the boy's window. after a few seconds, she throws another one.

"y-y/n? why are you up." noah says groggily as he opens his window. looking down at the girl who was in her pjs, shivering slightly.

"can't sleep." she shrugs, the boy nods at her.

"give me a sec, i'll be down." he spoke softly, closing the window. he grabs two hoodies, one for him  and one for y/n, then quietly walks down his steps and out the door. "you're lucky my parents didn't wake-"

he gets cut off as y/n hugs him tightly. noah smiles a bit, returning the hug. y/n pulls away from him, returning the smile.

"hey." she giggles softly.

"hi, what's up." he asks the girl, as he hands her one of his hoodies.

"thanks, i don't really know, just can't sleep i guess." she shrugs, slipping the blue hoodie over her head.

"well, what's on your mind?" noah asks as y/n leads him to her house. they climb onto the roof, gazing at the stars.

"you." she says quietly. noah's eyes widen at her statement, a blush rising on his cheeks.

"huh?"

"you heard me." she sighs, looking up at the sky.

"y/n i-"

"just don't, i already know what you're gonna say." the girl shakes her head, chuckling under her breath.

noah sits their for a minute, thinking everything over. his best friend, only friend, just confessed her love for him. he couldn't believe it, his crush on 12 years likes him back. a smiles spreads across his face as an idea pops into his head.

he turns around to face the girl, who had her head turned away from him. noah grabs the girls chin softly, turning her head to face him.

"n-noah w-" the girl is cut off but the noah, he presses his lips to hers softly. y/n blushes, but returns the kiss, her hand going up to cup noah's cheek. his hand still remains on the girl's chin as they break apart.

y/n looks up at noah with a soft smile, grabbing his free hand and locking their hands together. "do you really want all this though?" she asks softly, noah grins at her.

" darling, i want all the strings attached."
