Forth's POV

We both agreed to be friends but I don't know if I did the right thing…?

Can I do that? Being his friend as I promised him…..?

What if I cross the line….?

I really don't know what to do. I think I am digging my own grave just like Lam said.

Speak of the devil and here he is making me more confused. I didn't fear that much when I was about to sign billions but singing a simple contract with Beam is making my life turn upside down.

"What are you thinking about while knotting your eyebrows? You look more ugly when knitting your eyebrows, you know that right? You should stop doing that or else Beam will leave you before even getting married to you" Lam laughed.

I grabbed the file and started checking it. I don't have the energy to argue with him.

"Are you trying to ignore me? '' asked Lam again when he saw I wasn't replying to him.

"Hello right there I am not Mr Invisible yet!" said Lam again, waving his hand in the air in front of me.

"Stop acting like a stupid you moron," I said faintly.

"Oh so now you can see me I am not Mr Invisible anymore," said Lam.

"I have a meeting to attend and a lot of things on my plate so whatever you wanna spill can we do it later?" I asked.

"Don't overdo my buddy and don't make excuses like meeting and crap. We both know what you are capable of. Well, speaking about capabilities, one thing you can't do is take control over your stupid heart and puppy love for that casanova" said Lam.

"Don't you think you begin to meanie?" I asked.

"Nope. I am just saying the reality that no one else is gonna do that because they are scared of you but I and my brother on the other hand aren’t afraid of you at all,'' said Lam.

"I know, I know. You are not afraid of me but do you have to make it this obvious? For fuck's sake! I am your boss. Can't you even pretend to be scared?" I asked.

"Nope. I can't do it. Won't do it" said Lam.

"So what the fuck is going on care to spit it out? Why are you acting like manic?" asked Lam.

I told everything about our date, how we agreed to be friends and about the contract.

"Wow, Forth. Great. Thank God you haven't gone all crazy yet! You let the tiny tiny brain left of yours do the work, that's why you made a good deal like a businessman. I am proud of you" Lam said.

"What the hell are you talking about here? I 'm thinking what if I screw up and you are complimenting me like I cracked a billion dollars deal" I said.

"Yeah, you did crack a beneficial deal. In one year, your all lovesick drama will be ended and you will be back to be Fourth Jaturaphoom, a free man, no strings, no casanova attached," said Lam.

"I don't get why you hate him that much!" I exclaimed.

"I don't hate him, I'm just not fond of him,'' replied Lam. "So are you going to meet him today about contact and clauses?" He asked.

"That's the plan for now," I replied.

"So what are you waiting for? Get ready, you have meetings to attend," said Lam as he pushed me to my office walk-in closet.

I wore a black suit and a white shirt, a black tie and black shoes, all polished and shiny: clothes that normally would make me feel comfortable since all I do is work and work I don't know how to dress up for a date.

"Are you going on a date or someone's funeral?" asked Lam.

"What?" I asked.

"You're worse than me," said lam.

"I don't get it though, why do you care how I look, why do you make such an effort? I thought you didn't want this to happen." I asked.

"Of course I don't want this to happen but it is gonna happen anyway even for a year, but still happening! So I want you to enjoy it while you can," said Lam.

"Are you alright?" I asked as I walk towards him.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm actually more than fine, I'm awesome after hearing about your contract." Said Lam.

"I still think you need to go to the doctor. Something is definitely wrong with your head." I sit beside him and put my hand to his forehead.

"I'm fine. You don't have to worry about me and start worrying about your date. When do you have to be there again?" asked Lam.

"In half an hour," I replied.

"Well you better put that time into good use besides worrying about me," said Lam.

"Haha," I said sarcastically while rolling my eyes. He can be really annoying sometimes and remind me why I am friends with him. I really don't know.

After having bickering with Lam, I went to a restaurant where Beam and I decided to meet.

As I entered, he was seated in the centre beaming like an angel. Aww, I just wanna pinch his cheeks.

Fourth, get a grip on yourself and stop acting like a pervert.

"Hi," I said as casually as possible but trust me it's awkward.

"Hey! Sorry, I didn't wait for you and ordered a drink for myself. I was thirsty," he said.

"No, it's fine. I'll order something for me too," I said. After ordering the drink, I handed papers to him.

"So this is the contract that says we are only married for a year and we both agree to end this marriage after a year if we are not happy with each other and we can't tell about this to our parents," I explained the clause.

"Wow, man. You are a man of words. When you said contract marriage I thought you were joking, but you are serious," said Beam looking at the paper in his hand.

"I don't lie or should I say I can't lie?" I said.

"Huh? What does that mean now?" asked Beam.

"Umm, nothing. You can read the papers and add something if you want to. You can even discuss with a lawyer if you want to." I said.

"I trust you" said Beam as he signed the papers.

"I would not break your trust," I said.

"So who is gonna give the good news to our parents, you or me?" I asked.

"How about ‘us’? Together?” Beam asked.

" I like it. 'Us'" I said.
