It had been a year since Elle had seen her mother get devoured by Zombies. As she laid on the small cot asleep all she could ever seem to dream about was her mother. But this time was.. different. She dreamt of a Girl in a dress. Correction two girls. She herself had a suit on. The other girl wore a blood red dress and had the longest brown hair she'd ever seen. She felt like she had just fallen in love. Alas she was shaken awake by her Best friend. Jason.
(Falls into little space while writing this-) she sat up and rubbed her eyes. "Jason I hope you know I have a deep hatred for you right now." She mumbled. He just chuckled. "No you don't Elly!" She rolled her eyes. He had called her Elly since the third grade. She hated it but never stopped him."Whatever. So what's today's plan?" She asked and stood up fixing her clothes. "Well I spotted Zombies an hour ago so I figured we'd stay inside today. Sound good to you?" She nodded and sighed. Why did she feel such a strong connection to this girl from A dream? "Hey Jason? Have you ever felt a connection with a person from a dream?" She asked while walking into the 'kitchen' and grabbing a can of Corn beef hash. "Uuh nope I don't think so. Why do you ask Elly?" She shook her head and turned the stove on. She quickly grabbed a pan and opened the can putting the pan onto the stove. "Oh no Reason. Totally didn't see the hottest girl ever in my dream. That's totally not why I hate you for waking me up." She joked around as she put the corn beef hash onto the stove and grabbed a nearby spatula.
He smiled a bit. "So your gay for someone who's not real?" She rolled her eyes. "You've done it also!" He made a fake offended noise. "have not!"
"Oh yeah?! Remember Luke? A dude you imagined and fell in love with?"
"We don't talk about that!" She laughed a bit more and grabbed a small bowl. Sure it had cracks and dirt on it but it was better than nothing. She sighed and turned off the stove pouring the hash into the bowl. She grabbed a spoon and began eating. "How'd you sleep Jason?" She asked and sat on the counter. "Good. Considering I didn't have a nightm-" he was cutoff by a loud knock at the door followed by crying.
"LET ME IN!"
Cliffhanger.. gah I hope you like it so far!
