The 30th hunger games

Chapter 1

I wake up early in the morning to the sound of the singing mocking jays. I put on my normal black tank top,dark jeans and put My hair in a ponytail. I walk outside and trip over something. The two most annoying kids in district ten pop out from behind a corner."ha you fell for the tripwire"Ace says."haha funny" I say with sarcasm then I kick their feet from under both of them making them fall. I hop to my feet and brush the dust from my hands."you two are dumb as a doornail. Obviously you don't get the point not to mess with me"i say "yeah yeah,we weren't ready""okay then get ready"i say. I watch Ace he's stronger than Mortimer so I close in on him first. I grab his arm and pull it behind his back making him fall. Then I go for mortem. He's a bit easier. I punch his forehead and he falls with his buddy. I walk away but Ace gets up and follows me"well Aspen your pretty good." Ace says "thanks" "so. Who do you think will get chosen" "I don't know. Anyone but me" he chuckles."how was that funny"i ask a little annoyed."i don't know it's either laugh or scream." He says then leans sideways."and I thought I would choose the nicer one" now Im giggling. He looks at me kindly"you know if it makes you feel any better I hope you don't get chosen" that makes me feel better."i hope you don't get chosen either" he stops walking"hug?" "No"i say flatly "c'mon for old times sake" "fine"i hug him and he laughs. "You know.we could've become best friends"he says "hey. That your fault. I waited outside of school almost everyday for you,but you always ran off with the jerks. I finally gave up" I tell him."yeah,sorry bout that. People grow apart. I just always got really nervous around you and I..I just" just then Mortem runs up to us."hey bro."he says catching his breath"whats going on""nothing"I say"listen Ace I gotta go. I'll talk to you later" then I run off.
