A/N I just feel kinda like writing rn but I also suck ass at it so... :/
A chilling breeze blows my long dark hair into my eyes. The cold seat and chains of the swing cause my body to start shivering uncontrollably.
I can hear a feint voice in the distance but I can't see who is speaking through the thick fog. "Alex? Are you here?", a soft voice murmurs. Is it...No it can't possibly be... I see her silhouette and my thoughts were correct. "Allison", I yell towards the blurry figure. I see her running towards me so I get off the freezing swing and dust off my black skinny jeans. Before I knew it, I was in her arms. "I missed you so much. It was so horrible there and the people were terrible and..." She went silent. I feel a warm drop on my shoulder and I can hear Allison sobbing. I brush her light brown hair away from her soft blue eyes and see tears flowing from them like a river. "What's wrong?" I ask. She grabs my wrist and points at it with a facial expression of what seemed like sadness, anger, and betrayal. "You've been cutting again", she says as she runs her fingers along each healing seam. I feel terrible now. My eyes are on my shoes and I'm almost to tears myself. She tells me, " I'm hurt but I know how it is. Just try not to do it. I love you darling." I look back up at her and like nothing happened, she smiles. Allison has the most beautiful smile I have ever seen in my life and it's amazing that I get to see it more than anyone. She pulls a small box out of her pocket. Jokingly I say, " Is that for me? Oh boy I wanted a new pair of earrings." Allison lets out a small giggle and it melts my heart. "No, silly, it's just this", she says. She opens the crimson box to reveal a folded up paper. I pull it out and unfold the paper. It's a picture from when we were in middle school. "It's not much, I know. I just found this and I wanted you to have it. I would've gotten you something better but my parents fucked me over and told me that I can't spend any money cause I have to save up for college." My eyes are just locked on the photo until I come back to reality and fold it back up and put it in my wallet. "It's really thoughtful and nice." I say as I give Allison a kiss on the cheek. "Let's go back to my place and I can tell you all the HORRIBLE things that happened at that terrible boarding school", Allison whispers. I take her hand and we start to walk back to her house.
