"ARIA, WHAT THE fuck are you doing?" Kade groaned, gawking at the sight of Aria standing on the table as she kept the sport supplies back into the shelf.
The two of them were told to put the sport supplies back into the shelves since they were the team captains. So here they were, clearing the small, messy sports storage room.
"Oh you know, I felt short so I climbed the table." She smiled, sarcasm lacing her tone as she rolled her midnight eyes at him.
"Get down from there, you're gonna trip." Kade sighed, raising his hand so she could hold it. A worried look plastered on his face, he had always been protective of the chaotic girl standing in front of him.
"Who's gonna put these back then?" She arched an eyebrow, pointing at the boxes full of equipment.
"I'll do it," he declared.
"Just get down," he sighed as he waved his hand, encouraging her to hold his hand.
"No, I'll do it." She argued as she continued putting the stuff back into the shelves.
"Aria." He drawled out in a warning tone, narrowing his eyes at her.
"Kade." She imitated his tone, reflecting his expression.
"Aria, seriously? Get down before you slip off the table!" He scolded her, while she simply ignored him.
"Stop acting like my mom, Kade. Hell, even my mom doesn't give a fuck about me." She scoffed, rolling her eyes at him.
"But, I give a fuck about you. So, get off the table." His blue eyes were narrowed at her as they stared deep into each other's eyes for a quick second.
She smiled at him, "That's nice to hear."
His lips twitched into a small smile as he thought she finally gave in.
"But, I like being taller than you." She let out a laugh as she witnessed his smile twisting into a scowl.
"This is your last chance, Aria. Get down or I'll drag you down." His voice was low as he spoke.
Aria blinked at him. Twice.
"Oh no! I'm so scared!" She spoke sarcastically, feigning a scared expression.
"Now, you should be." He mumbled lowly, glaring at her.
She scoffed, rolling her eyes at him, "Yeah? What are you going to—."
"Kade!" She shrieked as he grabbed her legs and threw her on his shoulder.
"What do you say now?" He smirked as she gasped at him.
She innocently smiled at him, "Let me down, please."
"I thought you liked being taller than me?" He chuckled as she sent him a look.
