Classes were , as usual, the usual. Apparently, the teachers thought , Steven has taken the off or something like that. Not that I was concerned or something. The earth was far more advanced than feeding the primitive no-use homo sapien. Now, he is , where he belongs. I pity his family, though. This morning was the last morning they saw him. Now, they will never know what happened to their son. Poor them. Perhaps, I shall go to them and tell them I killed him. This would take the burden of my shoulders.
'Suzanne, would you please stop day dreaming and listen.', Miss Farute was standing right infront of my desk. Damn these teachers. What do they have against me?
'Sorry.' I said flatly, trying not to make eye contact. Eye contacts never go well.
'What were you dreaming about, Suzanne? Enlighten us all, please.' Ugh. Again with telling about yourself.
'I killed Steven. No, I mean I didn't kill him. But, I am directly responsible for his death. I know you all think, he has taken the day off. But no. He has not. In simpler words, he is-'
'Principle's office. Now' Here we go again. This ain't my lucky day. I didnt even argue this time.
'But, I dont know the way. First day here.' I shrugged automatically. I think it runs in my blood or something.
'I am thoroughly impressed by you, Suzanne. First day here and already going to the office. You clearly have broken all the records. Go straight. First turn to the left. Second room.' With that she continued teaching history like nothing happened. No wonder why there are a handful of students in history.
No need to tell me twice. I was looking for an excuse to get out from this class in the first place. Thankyou History teacher! I salute you! I got up from my chair with my precious bag and headed for the door. I heard a few whispers and chuckles behing me. 'She's in trouble.' 'OMG.' 'First day and busted.' What's it with these humans?
The office wasn't far away. Good. I was in no mood of walking. As I reached the door, I heard a voice. A familiar voice. A way too familiar voice. A voice that I last heard ten years ago.
'The boy tells she is in this school, Tyler. Find her. Send her to me. Everyday, her power grows. She needs to be killed. The key must be mine. I want you to go through each and every class and bring Suzanne to me.', said the voice.
'Yes, Lord McSwann. Your order is my duty. Collect the girl from me at noon. Than, I shall claim my reward.', said the principle. I heard footsteps coming towards the door.
I ran out from the school as if my life depended on it. Oh wait, it does.
