Alex's POV:
When I woke up I looked at the clock on my bedside table ,it was still 5 am and I had a lot of time until breakfast so I decided to at least make good use of it .I stod up ,got dressed and headed out of the dormatory .
When I got to the common room there was a girl sat on the couch in front of the fireplace. We were the only ones awake . I was going to head to the library but now I remember that it isn't opened yet so it will be useless trying to go there so instead I decided to talk to this girl .
'Um... Hi ' I said slightly hesitant as I don't know who she is and I don't know if she is busy or not .'Oh -Um hi' she answered as if I had scared her a little with my presence but I can't blame her .It was 5 in the morning and every one is usually asleep at this time
'Couldn't sleep huh ' I say kind of playfully 'Yeah ' she answers 'I'm Alex Potter ' I say and she looks slightly annoyed 'oh don't worry I am not like James Potter trust me ' I say realizing who it is she just laughs and introduced herself 'Marlene McKinnon 'she says and we shake hands .'So are you new here ' She asks 'Yeah me and my brother are transfer students ' I lie trying to sound convincing and she seems to believe me .'You have a brother ?' 'Yeah .Twin brother ' I say 'Is he olso in grifindor? ' 'Yeah ' she nods .
'What's your first class ' she asks after a bit of silence 'Transfiguration than I have herbolagy and than a free piriod' I say and she nods 'I olso have a free period so if you whant to we can hang out ' 'Sure ' I say and we just stand there in a comfortable silence until the students slowly start to wake up and fill the common room.
