The rest of the night at work I just sat there behind the counter thinking of what to do that can cheer Anne up. I had no idea what to do, I didn't like seeing her sad. "Ready to leave?" Tom said picking up his car keys. "Sure" I replied as I got my coat.. The car journey was awkward as none of us spoke "see you later" he said when he got outside my house "thank you" I told him as I got out the car "honestly it's not a problem" he replied smiling. I got home "there's food in the oven if you're hungry" anne said as soon as I walked in the door "thank you" I replied smiling. I walked in the kitchen and got the food out then started eating it "how was work?" Anne asked "yeah it was fine" I replied "that's good I'm going to bed I'll see you in the morning" She said walking up the stairs "night" I replied as I took my phone out my pocket
