Cat and Rat Theatre

Ethan Reyes's P.O.V

I woke up ready for my 8th Birthday, I am going to an old theatre that has been running for 10 years since 1965! Two years before I was born. I invited two of my friends, Mary Schmidt and Freya Light. I didn't invite Katelyn or Charlie, they said they were busy today which was a bummer. Plus they had to hangout at Fredbear's which opened up two years prior. 

I got out of bed, got dressed and then went down to get breakfast, I wanted to see what my Mum or Dad cooked up today. My Mum, Cayla Reyes was cooking breakfast. I could smell it! And it smelled delicious! I could smell bacon and egg.

"Mum! Do I smell Bacon and Egg for breakfast?" I asked happily.

"Yes, Sweetie. Bacon and Egg for your special day! Happy Birthday!" Mum said to me. I knew this day will be one of my best birthdays ever! As soon as Mum finished cooking, she put it on a plate in the way I like, making it look like a smiley face, the eggs were the eyes and the bacon was the mouth. 

"Your Dad has already gone to work, but in the afternoon he'll come home to celebrate today with you." Mum said. I was a bit sad Dad wasn't with us today for all of it and that he couldn't get off work for a special day. But I bet it will be worth it when Dad shows up!

We have breakfast sitting at the dining room's table together. After we finished eating, I ran back to my room to put my shoes and socks on, along with grab anything I needed to take with me. We left home close to the time, 11:45 AM. I hopped in the passengers seat and my Mum went into the drivers seat, she started the car and took us on a trip to 'Rat and Cats Theatre' which was a 10 minute drive, we arrived at 11:55 AM. 

We waited 6 minutes until Freya arrived, I gave her a big hug as she said Happy Birthday to me, 11 minutes went by before Mary arrived who I also gave a hug as she said Happy Birthday then we all entered the building, we all went straight to the arcade to have fun! I played this small arcade named "Vinnie's Puppet Master". It was my favourite! I also loved the Vinnie Puppet, even though the design was weird with those eyes and teeth. I felt like today was going to be great! Hanging out with two of my best friends!

I looked over in another area next to the stage and saw The Rat standing there with kids around him. Me, Mary and Freya walked over to where The Rat and the kids were. 

"Hey kids! I heard it was someones birthday today. Last time I checked it was you, kid!" The Rat spoke then laughed, pointing at me. "Am I right, Pal?" Rat spoke again.

"Y...Yeah." I said in hesitation. 

"How about we play a special round of Hide and Go seek? It'll be fun! All of you can join!" The Rat said before covering his face as every kid ran off. Me and Freya went together as Mary decided to hide by herself. Me and Freya went and hid under a table, together hoping we don't get found.

Mary Schmidt's P.O.V

We were playing hide and seek. I didn't want to hide with the others, so I ran in the opposite direction, they went towards the Arcade, I went the other way. As I was passing by the opposite part of the building, I saw The Puppeteer who controlled Vinnie and The Cat leave the back room, I thought it was a perfect space to hide so I went inside and hid in the locker in there. I was waiting to be found, I saw The Rat enter.

"Hey kid, I saw you enter here, where are you hiding?" The Rat spoke and started looking around, then The Puppeteer came in behind The Rat.

"Rat! What were you thinking?! You can't show up here in that condition!" The Puppeteer Spoke.

"I can explain!" The Rat responded.

"You should go home, we can continue the show tomorrow." Puppeteer said to Rat.

"No! The Show must go on!" The Rat responded.

"Take it off now and go home!" Puppeteer yelled and he tried to pull the Rat's head off the actor who was underneath. The Rat then grabbed onto Puppeteer and started choking him. They walked backwards a bit.

"Let... Me... GO!" Puppeteer yelled and he pushed The Rat off him, The Rat stumbled back falling, he hit his head on the corner of the table in the room, and it killed him, he bled out all over the floor. The Cat heard the comotion and entered the room, seeing The Rat dead and the Puppeteer standing there.

"What happened in here-" The Cat started to speak before seeing The Rat dead with blood flowing out of his head on the ground.
"We need to call the police!" Cat spoke.
"No." The Puppeteer spoke as he was standing look at Rat.
"We can tell them it was an accident, but we need to call them!" Cat said as he walked over to the phone picking it up dialing the number.
"NO!" Puppeteer said as he started strangling Cat.
"W-What are y-ou doing?! I-I can't b-breathe!" Cat spoke barely able to breathe, the Cat then falls over after Puppeteer pushes him down. Puppeteer then picked up the phone.

Mary saw the whole thing, she was still in the locker. Saw and heard it all. She then heard the Puppeteer on the phone,
"Hey Police! Someone killed two of the actors!... Where am I? Rat and Cats Theatre, I own it." Puppeteer spoke and the phone call soon ended. Puppeteer grabbed this piece of paper from the wall and put it in the trash and he left the room. Mary sat down in the locker, mortified from what she saw. Over an announcement speaker she heard an announcement saying "Everyone, exit the building immediately." She recognized it was the Puppeteer's voice.

Ethan Reyes's P.O.V

The Rat found us, we were waiting looking at the main stage before Me and Freya heard the announcement to exit the building.
"What happened?" Ethan said sounding disappointed.
"I'm sure it'll be okay, Eth." Freya spoke as me and her both exited the building together where a bunch of other adults and kids were. My Mum was also waiting outside to look after me, Freya and Mary.
"Wait.. Mum, Where is Mary?" I asked.
"I don't know, Sweetie. I heard an accident happened so the police was called, maybe we can ask them to find her?" Mum said.
"Okay Mum. I hope shes okay." I said.

Mary Schmidt's P.O.V

I couldn't move. I was too shaken. I started breathing heavily as I heard police sirens. I heard some police enter the room, I heard them speak and started looking around and at the dead bodies. One of them heard something, it was my heavy breathing, they opened the locker and saw me sitting down hyperventilating.
"Hey kid?, Did you see what happened?" A nice female police officer asked me. I couldn't respond, I barely was about to move my head up and down saying yes.
"You don't have to tell me anything, until you've calmed down. Let's get you outside to your family, shall we?" She spoke before picking me up and carrying me outside.
"MARY!" Ethan spoke as he came running over with Freya and his Mum behind them.
"She was in the employees only room, hiding in the locker. She might of seen something." The female officer spoke. "You should bring her by when she is feeling better, so she can tell us what happened." The police officer spoke.
