That First Moment

It was Alissa's second day at CU. She had no friends around her and new absolutely no one. She continued to walk the halls and explore the second day. She was all by herself through all of it. Until that one life changing moment that occured not to long after she had walked by the same spot she saw Cameron yesterday. 

Alissa knew she should turn around and walk the other direction right when she saw him. If she was still in high school she wouldv'e, but this was college and she needed to grow up and face her fears. She walked right next to Cameron, passing by him in the hallway. She could smell his cologne and his hair flowed swiftly from all the wind from passing people. When she got side by side to him she rubbed up against his arm just to get a feel. She never realized how tall he was, and how much taller he was compared to her, but she liked that. Height differences were perfect to her cause she always saw it as making things more romantic. 

But as they rubbed against each other, something shocking happened that she didn't have a thought in mind that would. He grabbed her arm. He pulled her off to the side where no body was around or walking to. She oddly got scared and frightened. It was a womens intuition to be afraid when some stranger grabbed them and pulled them away from the crowds of people. And then he bent down and whispered in her ear which made her calm all of her nerves. 

She didn't know what to think of what he said to her. She couldn't even believe that he was talking to her at all, let alone touching her arm and pulling her away. She realized that she didn't make the first move, but he did. She was astonished of his courage and his bravery to talk to her and inside she was bursting with excitement but she had to act calm, cool, and collected, and she did. The only way she was so chill about everything is cause she couldn't ruin her hair or makeup cause she had a date at eight o'clock sharp at one of the finest restaurant and bars in California, with the one she knew was for her.
