The Hashira

*~*My POV*~*

Nezuko boredly twirls her pencil in fingers. It fell out her hand onto the floor. She stands up to get it. When she does, the 9 Hashira walk into the room. 3 she knows and 6 she doesn't. Those 6 immediately sense that she's a demon, and go to attack her. But to their surprise they were blocked. Rengoku, Shinobu, Genya, Shizuku, and Giyuu protected her.

Rengoku blocking Uzui's sword. Shinobu pushing down Mitsuri's sword so it doesn't leave the sheath. Genya blocking his brothers, Sanemi, sword. Shizuku blocking Gyomei, and Giyuu blocking Muichiro and Obanai's swords. " Rengoku! I've never figured you to break that rules " Uzui commented. " Shinobu! That's a demons! What are you doing?! I still love you though, your my best friend " Mitsuri said.

" I never liked you anyways, Tomioka " Obanai hissed. " I never held hostility to you, but I'm shocked because your one of our strongest but your protecting a demon. Creatures we swore to defeat. Hey is that a pencil? " Muichiro asked. " I hope you can refrain from calling her a demon in the near future " Shinobu glared at him, still keeping her smile. " I don't know who you are, but your very strong for a Mizunoto. I congratulate you. But how sad it is that your protecting a demon " Gyomei cried.

" Genya what are you doing? This is a filthy wretched demon your protecting " Sanemi said annoyed at his younger brother. " Please stop referring to her with such derogatory terms " Shinobu said. " Will everyone put their swords away? " Ms Kanata said. The Hashira were hesitant but withdrew their swords and let down their guards. " Nezuko is in fact a demon, but she has been approved by my brother, Kagaya Ubuyashiki. He is certain she will not eat any humans " She explained.

" So please, do treat her with respect " She said. " Yes ma'am " They nodded. " Nezuko, how is your training going? Have you been practicing what I taught you? " Rengoku asked. " Mhmm " She smiles. " So if you don't eat humans, how do you regain strength? " Gyomei asked. " I sleep " She answered.
" Really? You just Sleep it off? " Muichiro asked, as he shared common ground with her.

" Yup " She smiled. " I just love the color of your hair. Did you eat a lot of mochi too? " Mitsuri asked. " No, it just changed to be like that when I turned to a demon " She said. " So what's your demon blood art? I heard all demons have one " Obanai said, still not trusting her. " Yes. It's called Blood explosion. If my blood leaves my body I can make it explode " She said. " Sounds flamboyant " Uzui said.

" So you good at combat? Since Rengoku's been training you. How about a little sparring then? " Sanemi asked. " I don't think that's a good idea... " Genya warned. " Eh? Why not? " Sanemi asked. " She punched a boy through the ground " He said, shuddering at the memory of it. " Really? Why? " Shinobu asked. " I'm not sure I wanna reminisce about that moment too much... " She said blushing a little.

" He touched her boobs and she got embarrassed " Genya whispered to the others, and they all nodded. Nezuko noticed Tomioka is in the corner and ran over to him. He'd really always been like a big brother to her and Tanjiro. " Oni-Chan! You missed a lot " She said. " Really? Like what? " He asked.
" We built a pool, and I beat a demon " She said excitedly. She really doesn't get to see him that much. He smiled while patting her head.

All the hashira were shocked. They all get into a little huddle. " He's definitely a fake " Shinobu said. " I agree. I've known Tomioka a long time and he's never even cracked a smirk before " Obanai said. " But I just love that smile though " Mitsuri gushed. " Let's give him a test. Kocho... " Sanemi said. " On it " She said and they get out of the huddle.
" Wow, Tomioka. I can believe it. This girl is smiling and calling you big brother, but your really so unliked. I'm impressed " She said.

" I'm not.... I don't think I'm unlikeable " He said, very serious. They all sweat dropped. " I can confirm, that is indeed Tomioka " Shinobu said. " Okay, let's settle down now. Nezuko, Genya, Shizuku please take your seats. " Ms Kanata said. They all nodded and sit down as told. " No, these are some of our most recently promoted Hashira. The nine pillars. They will be helping out with your training for a while. Nezuko, you'll still have Rengoku to train you like always " She said, and Nezuko nodded.

~A week later~

" Okay lets see if your training paid off " Sanemi said. She got a little nervous and pulled Rengoku to the side. " I don't think I can do this in front of people " She said. " Oh! Nonsense. Of course you can. You've done it in front of me plenty of times before " He smiles. " Yeah but that's different. I'm used to you. " She said. " Don't worry about the people you aren't used to. Just look at me, Kocho, or Tomioka " He said.

She looked at the others before looking back at him. " Okay. I can do it " She said. " Good. I believe in you " He smiled. They walk back over to the others, Nezuko stands in front of them. Rengoku gives her a thumbs up.
" Okay, Nezuko will break that bolder " He said. " She can't break that! " Sanemi said.
" Have a little faith will you? " Rengoku asked. Sanemi rolled his eyes and they all look at her.

She gets a little nervous, but remembers what Rengoku said. " You can do this Nezuko!! " Shinobu called. " I believe in you!! " Giyuu added. She felt more confident. She sighed and punched the rock, very hard. It didn't budge at all. Her eyes filled with disappointment until she heard it. It sounded like pebbles falling. She turned to see the rock, it was cracking. It shattered into many pieces.

Her face lit up as she saw it. " I did it! I did it! I did it!! " She cheered happily.

~At home~

" And then I punched the rock, but it didn't break so I felt sad. But when I looked back at it it was cracking before it shattered into a whole bunch of pieces!! " Nezuko explained happily. Tanjiro smiles. " I'm proud of you Nezuko. Your another step closer to becoming a demon slayer " He said. " Thanks Oni-San " She smiles.
