True love has a habit of coming back.

Shehryaar couldn't wait to get out of the car already, seeing their villa which was just a minute away made him sigh in relief. Staying with her so close like that after so long made him feel awkward, to say the least, he was sure that the feelings must be mutual too. That made him drive faster if anything. Just as he halted the car before the gate, Leila jumped out at the first chance she got. Shutting the car door with a thud, she entered their entrance while he honked loudly to get the Watchman out to open the door for him.
She could have done that at least, in fact, she used to do it for him after their every long drive and now she doesn't even care to see if he came in or not. What went wrong anyway? Why in the world was she showing him attitude when it was her because of whom they weren't together today.
If only she had been loyal and not cheated on him just two nights before their marriage, things would have been so different now. They would be together living their fantasy but she had to ruin it like that.
Shehryaar hated her ever since. Or so he told himself. Breathing in and breathing out, he tried to control his rage. After parking his car in the garage, he got down from his car and something bright caught his eyes. He picked it up curiously and realized that it was her phone, which he had snatched near her college.
The memories of that guy giving her a rose came back in a jiffy and he counted numbers this time. He'd do it every time he loses his cool and when he is around Leila Qureshi he had to do these little tricks time and again. She tested his patience like no one else could.
Staring at the phone for longer than a minute made him realize that Leila still hasn't changed her phone case. He had gifted it to her when she turned eighteen and it shocked him to see her still using the same one. She's twenty-two now. Why did she keep that with her? The question rang into his ears again and again as he walked into the villa, trying to distract his stupid brain.
As if on cue, her phone started to ring making him startled. He gazed at the caller ID with a frown and stood nearby the steps sceptically deciding whether or not to go to the west wing of their villa. It belonged to his Chacha Jaan and his family, he hadn't stepped on that side of that house for over a year now.
"Shehryaar... You want something?" Faik Qureshi asked his nephew with a confused face. It shocked him to see that Shehryaar was standing beside his side of the house; willingly. If he hadn't interrupted maybe he might have stepped in too. Faik wondered how did the miracle ever happen.
"Chacha Jaan, Leila has left her phone in the car." Shoving the phone into Faik's hands he marched away from there. As if him standing beside his side of the house was not shocking enough, Leila and Shehryaar coming home together was another big shocker. Curious to find out what happened, Faik Qureshi walked to his daughter's bedroom and knocked at her door.
"Abbu..." Leila was surprised to find her father standing out of her door, she welcomed in with a warm smile. He patted her head affectionately as both the father and daughter sat on the sofa.
"Your phone." Faik gave it to her with a chuckle as he stared at his daughter's questioning gaze. She wanted to ask him why he here but couldn't get herself to ask that. He knew his daughter too well.
"Don't look at me like that. I'm as confused as you." Leila frowned as she took her phone. She still wondered why would Shehryaar willingly come to pick her up from the college.
