"Even if she be not harmed, her heart may fail her in so much and so many horrors; and hereafter she may suffer--both in waking, from her nerves, and in sleep, from her dreams".
Bram Stoker, Dracula
Angel's POVLaying on my bed, turning softly from side to side, moving from one end of my bed to the other, stealing a glance at the beautiful light that radiates my room, catching a glimpse of the rays of the sun reflecting in my room, closing my eyes gently and wishing I won't open it for a while. I doze off for a period of time and all of a sudden, I hear a voice,Angel, Angel...
The voice isn't harsh nor soft but it seemed tense, I awoke Immediately sweating profusely
It was something I have become so used to but i was always afraid. It brought back painful memories.I hurried up to the bathroom, took a bath, inhaling the strong scent of the coconut soap which i used for bathing
The scent has always had a way of calming my nerves.
Walking to my closet while humming my favourite music, (someone you loved) I pulled out a blue jeans n a black shirt
I knew I would have to go ahead n face the world because laying on my bed wouldn't help me. I wanted to at least live up to the expectation of those that were willing to give up their lives for me.
I moved out to the car pack n got into my car ready for what the day has to offer. It was becoming a norm for the days to be so challenging so I have gotten used to bracing up for the challenges ahead
*Wondering what nightmare could get her so scared???
