As Beta Readers, our job is to read your work and give you feedback on what we think. We are not critiques or proofreaders, so do not expect a long note.
A beta reader reads your full, finished manuscript as an actual reader will someday do over the course of hours, days, weeks, or months. Your finished manuscript is your book here on Wattpad.
ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴡᴇ ғᴏᴄᴜs ᴏɴ
1. How your book feels towards your intended audience.
2. Writing style and voice.
3. Plot holes – Aspects from your story that don't make sense, don't work, or are incorrect.
4. Clarity – Characters, places, or situations seem clear to you but aren't to your readers.
5. Hook/Pacing problems – Not keeping the conflict alive in your story and how hooked the reader is.
ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴡᴇ ᴅᴏɴ'ᴛ ғᴏᴄᴜs ᴏɴ
1. Grammar & Punctuation errors. But we would take note if spotted.
2. Development, Line, and Copy Editing. If you want these, feel free to search for them here on Wattpad. (We would also recommend some soon.)
4. In-depth review and feedback.
