Clara's POV
I watched as a person slowly walked up the mansions large marble steps... huh... Wonder why he didn't come in.... I watched him from the window for a while before I walked down the steps to the large French doors that served as the entrance, I slowly opened a door and looked out at him "Hello?"
"Oh, uh hello... I hear there is a ball here, sorry, I don't have much in the way of clothes..." he clearly looked homeless, his clothes all looked like tattered rags. "I still don't see why you would invite a no body like me..." he didn't move from his spot, he just sat there, waiting.
I tilted my head... 'What a strange boy' I thought to myself... "Why didn't you knock...?" opens the door slightly more, "or ring the bell? You can come in, I'm sure I have something else for you to wear." I spoke with a small smile holding the door open for him.
"Oh... Thank you." He got up from the cold stairs and walked inside of the mansion, it was a lot warmer than outside side was. "So, will you guys provide the rooms or do we need to get our own?" He asked, looking overwhelmed.
I laughed a bit and smiled, tilting my head a bit "what's your name? And yes... we have 120 rooms available in this house alone."
"My name? It's just Yokai... no more no less, i left my last name behind long ago... so, what's your name miss?" He replied softly.
I laughed a bit finding it funny he was asking "Clara, Clara Edwards. My name was on the invite. Well Yokai, I'll show you to your room."
"Well, thank you Clara... So which room was I put in?" He asked softly, looking slightly embarrassed at his reply, "It's been awhile since I actually talked to another person." He mumbled trying to justify himself.
I smiled trying to break the ice, as people would say. I could tell this was strange for him, but I also knew there wasn't any rooms assigned, there was only a section of rooms connected for the Pureblood parties we had coming. "That depends, where would you like to be?"
"Well, anywhere would be nice... But since I am able to choose, how about room 13?"
I laughed again, "Yokai you are a strange one. We don't have room numbers, it's not a hotel. Besides if we did, room 13 would be mine." I winked and quickly turned starting up one side of the large double stairs.
"Oh... Umm... Just choose for me then..." He was clearly embarrassed. How long has he been away from people?
"Want the room next to mine?" I spoke loudly yet still softly now half way up the stairs.
"Uhm... Sure?" He yelled back starting to catch up to me.
I laughed a bit to myself and slowed down 'what a strange boy' I thought, of course almost every male I've ever met was strange to me... I was classically trained in England... as a royal princess, this princess that... I drank tea, sat up straight, walked straight... I even knew how to ride a horse side saddled... which btw, is hell. I was so classically trained, that it almost was weird not wearing a corset and heels... I looked over my shoulder as Yokai was only a few steps behind me and started heading down the hall, thinking... 'Maybe I should invite him for tea and a movie?' then I shook my head... I don't even know if he likes tea! This was a weird feeling and he was only the first to arrive what I am going to do with the other Vampires! I suddenly felt sick with worry and rested my hand on my stomach... And they all needed to like me...
