Shayne's POV:
I thought about what Damien said to me yesterday. Today is the day. Even if Courtney didn't feel the same, I'm sure we'll still be friends.
"Wish me luck!" I said to my lazy cat
"Meow" the cat replied
Before I went to the office, I drop by the gift and flower shop nearby, and I got a bouquet of red roses (A/N: Red roses are casually used for courting a lady, I also used red roses because roses are the only flower I know, jk😂)
I also bought a medium sized panda bear toy and a necklace with a Gemini sign on it.
I arrived at office with a paper bag in my hand. As I entered the squad room, I saw everyone, except for Courtney.
"Goodmorning Shayne" They said
"Goodmorning guys. Have you seen Courtney?"
"Wow, in this early morning you're already looking for Courtney, you're so in love bro" Olivia said before sipping her coffee
"Why are you looking for her anyway?" Damien said with knowing smirk
"Well, I thought about what you said yesterday... you're right Damien. I want to let Courtney know that I love her."
"Do you want us to help you?" Noah asked
"Yes please" I said politely
"So what if all of us, except you Shayne, will go outside and tell Courtney to go here in the squad room, you'll wait for her here and then boom!" Damien suggested
"That's a great idea" I said
"We're heading out now. Good luck Shayne!" Olivia said
"Thanks guys" I said
I sat in the couch and took deep breaths.
Damien's POV:
We saw Courtney on her way inside the office. As she came near, we prepared ourselves
"Here we go guys!" I said
"Hey Court, they need you on the squad room right now " We said
"Oh hey guys. Do you know why they need me there?"
"We don't know, Ian just told us to tell you that he needs you there when we see you" I lied
"Okay, thanks!" She said
Courtney's POV:
That was weird. I'm sure I didn't do something wrong... As I walk towards the squad room, my heart started to pound. I was now in front of the squad room's door.
"Here comes nothing" I said before twisting the door knob
As the door opened, it revealed Shayne Robert Topp, sitting on the couch, alone
"Hey Shayne" I greeted him casually
"Hey Court"
"Why are you here, alone?"
"Well, I'm here waiting for you, cause I need to tell you something..."
"What is it?" I asked nervously. My heart is racing now.
"I like you... ever since the first time I saw you during the call back audition. I don't just like you, I love you, Courtney, and I can't conceal my feelings for you anymore. But right now, I want to know how you feel about me."
"Shayne... I-I I love you too" I said as I hugged him
"You don't know how long I have been waiting for you to say that" he said
He grabbed something from the floor, it was a paper bag, he let out a bear
"Aww, it's so cute" I said
"His name is Mr. Pando. And I have one more thing..." He said
He let out a necklace with a Gemini sign on it. He put it on me. I pulled him closer, and then I kissed him.
"Thank you " I said
"Anything for you" He said as he kissed me again
"Shippers are gonna go wild. But if you're not ready to tell them yet, it's okay" he said
"Thanks babe" I said
We went out of the squad room, then we walked up to the gang with our hands intertwined.
"God, is this real life right now?" I thought to myself
"We're official!" Shayne and I shouted
"Congratulations guys!" They said
They were cheering and clapping. Wow, they really wanted this as much as we do.
