Prologue

There was a time before. When the Seven ruled as One. Before the gods fell, and Chaos reigned...

Long ago, the seven Aeons descended on this world, breathing life into it with the First Star. The gods watched over humanity, vowing never to interfere in their existence. The people of Mythrelm learned to harness the planet's energy. Building wonders beyond imagining, they ushered an age of prosperity that seems endless.

But this left them wanting more.

Many people fought for control of the planet, and without the gods' aid, it seemed their strife would never end. But one god would not stand for their sins. With his dark magic, Zadon the Destroyer ripped the land asunder, unleashing an army of demons upon the world. They scorched the land, blotted out the sun, and slaughtered all who caught their gaze.

On the brink of extinction, the surviving humans could only hope and pray for salvation. Answering their plight, the Goddess Astraea chose a man of noble heart and mind to wield the gods' power. He then shared this Sacred Fire with his disciples, becoming the first Ark Knights.

The Goddess joined these warriors and fought the Great Darkness, banishing him from this world. For their heroism, the Ark Knights were gifted with a world of their own. As for Astraea, she had shed her immortal form so she could lead humanity as Queen of the New World.

As humanity prospered once more, the Ark Knights continued to watched over them in secret. Their existence had become legend, until one day, they did not appear.

In their absence, a new darkness emerged. The Ezarian Empire rose up from the East, spreading the cold reach of Death in their pursuit of power. The people of Astrelm fight them in the hope that peace shall return. These are the legends of this world.
