Chapter 18: Greek Gods Are Real?!

Hermione's POV:

I sighed as I sat in the Gryffindor common room. Ever since Harry told me about the prophecies, I couldn't stop thinking about ways that they could include Rachel, Percy and Annabeth. I know that they aren't Death Eater but they definitely aren't normal wizards. I picked up Harry and Ron's list of why Percy is suspicious and one word caught my eye.
Hecate?
I know that I've heard that name before but where. There was only one place to go, the library!

I spent the following couple of hours searching for the name 'Hecate'. I was just about to give up when a lightbulb went off in my head.
Hecate, she's a Goddess!
Now I remembered. We had done Gods and Goddesses in year 5 before I came to Hogwarts and I had completely forgotten.
Mabye Percy does just worship a religion.
But somehow it didn't seem like that. Now I thought about it everything made sense. All the odd nicknames like 'Seaweed Brain' and 'Owl Face' and the fact that Percy was attacked by owls.
He must be a son of Poseidon.
But what did that make Annabeth?
Athena, Aphrodite, Hecate, mabye?
And what about Rachel, Chris and Clarisse? And Malfoy, Neville and Luna?

I shook my head, this was all so overwhelming.
Gods are real!
But is it just Greek Gods or are Roman, Norse and Egyptian real too?
A part of me wanted it quickly run to Harry and Ron and tell them all about my discovery but something stopped me. Knowing them, they would just find a way for this discovery to make Percy evil.
I'll keep this to myself and then I'll question Rachel, Percy, Chris, Clarisse and Annabeth about it when we're alone.

When I finally got them alone, it was 2 weeks later. Harry and Ron had disappeared off somewhere so it was the perfect time. I glanced around to make sure we were alone before blurting out, "I know you guys are demigods."
Way to go, Hermione.
I scolded myself as the demigods looked surprised.
"What makes you think that?" Annabeth asked, slowly.

"You haven't told anyone, have you? This has to be kept secret," Rachel asked.
I shook my head and questioned, "So, your parents..."
"Percy is Poseidon, Clarisse is Ares, Chris is Hermes, I'm Athena and Rachel is the Oracle," Annabeth answered.
"What about Malfoy, Luna and Neville?" I asked.
"Drake is Aphrodite, Luna is Iris and Neville is Demeter," Percy explained.
I nodded as Chris said, "This has to stay between us."
I nodded again.
I can't believe the Greek Gods are real!
