When Em goes out into the hall to get a nurse her mom asks
Em's mom: so what happened
Em: wow mom you could ask both of us you know
Nick: Em calm down
Em: I am calm
Nick: well mrs. Warren. Cassie made ryland cheat on Emma and I was there to comfort her and we became a thing again like yesterday but not publicly
Em's mom: oh ok
We then hear a knock on the door of the hospital room. We turn around and see......Chase?
Em: hey Chase what are you doing here
Chase: I couldn't be alone and I missed yall
Em: ok
Em's mom: nick can I talk to you alone
Nick: sure
We go out into the hall
Em's mom: do you love her
Nick: uh yeah Mrs. Warren why do you ask
Em's mom: well you can just call me Erica, and I was just wandering bc what I need to tell her about her dad she is gonna need someone to be there with her
Nick: ok Erica I would give everything for her
Erica: ok good she loves you can can tell by how she looks at you
Nick: ok
We go back into the room
Em: hey momma where is dad
Kayden looks at erica with a "you haven't told her" look. I go up to her and put my hand on her back.
Alex: yeah where is dad
Kayden gives her that same look
Erica: well your dad um
Em/Alex: what happened mom
Erica: he was shot when looking for an escapee
Em starts to cry
Nick: hey baby hey look at me
She looks up at me
Nick: he is in a better place now and you'll be with him in the far vary far future
Em: key word far future
She crys more
Kay: you guys go home
Em: like back to LA home?
Kay: yes go back to LA
Em: no I'm not leaving
Kay: Emma Rose go home
Em: fine
All of us leave and go to the airport and we go back home. We get back to the house and Em runs up to our room I go up with her.
Nick: Em are you okay
Em: does it look like I'm okay?
Thomas walks in
Thomas: the sway boys are here
Em: ok
Em's POV
Thomas walks out and josh walks in and jumps in between us.
Josh: can I talk to Emma alone
Nick: sure ig?
Nick walks out leaving me and Josh
Josh: I need to show you somthing
He shows me a screen recording of texts between Nick and what looks like Nessa.
Texts
Nick: hey baby girl
Nessa: I assume that was ment for Emma
Nick: nope ment for you wanna meet up
Nessa: when and where
Nick: hype 10 minutes
Nessa: I'll be there

Em: that's who he was texting in the uber
Josh: yeah

Em: no we are done
Nick: Em look at my texts
I look at the texts they were from before we dated
Em: oh I'm sorry but I think we need a break

He leaves
Josh: pack enough clothes for a month
Em: why
Josh: we are going to Hawaii
