(Part 5 and possibly the last part-)

Everything was a blur.

The burning sensation across her skin as she skidded across the floor.

The ringing in her ears followed by distant yelling.

Her eyes stayed shut, not wanting, not daring to witness.......anything.

Wet.

Something was wet.

Some part of her was wet.

She knew what it was, and she feared it truly had happened.

Curling into a ball, she clutched her abdomen, to verify it really happened.

She peeked.

Red.

She shut her eyes again.

She tried to comprehend what she had done.

She didn't know why she did that.

Her body had an instinct to react.

To defend.

Distant screaming.

"QUEEN!",

It's closer.

He didn't even bother to pick up his top hat and rushed to her side, sitting on his knees in front of her. He gently removed her hands and drew in a sharp breath as he stared at the wound.

Crimson red decorated the hole, definitely a bullet shot.

She actually shot her.

Doubt actually shot her.

He would've taken it if it weren't for her.

"You idiot", he muttered, pressing his hands against the wound to stop the flowing liquid, "Why'd you- why did you that?"

"I.....I don't know", she cringed in pain. "The moment I saw.....I just......reacted", she yelped, curling herself in further. The phantom thief held her hands against the wound, trying to block it, which wasn't really successful.

She was losing blood.

"Hey, don't close your eyes, you hear me? Don't close them", he coaxed, trying to keep himself calm and his friend awake. He couldn't stand the fact he was the cause of losing another friend. Nearly losing Hachi was painful enough, but losing a friend whom he'd known for most of his life.

That terrified him.

"I don't think it hurts anymore........", she mumbled.

That sent him into panic mode. Losing the ability to feel meant being one step closer to quietus.

"Hey, you're going to be all right, okay?", she was clearly not going to be. He could see the blood flowing from her back. How deep was the bullet? He wasn't a surgeon, and he didn't want to make the injury worse. So all he could do was try to stop it from flowing out more, to cover it temporarily until he could find a medical kit or something. He couldn't leave her here just to search around the entire building for one. She was losing time. If only Rose was here to stop the time of the bleeding injury.

"I don't think I can feel it........anymore......has the....blood...stopped?", she asked, glancing at her trembling friend.

"No, it hasn't. Stay strong, Queen. Just hold on a little longer", he pulled her onto his thighs and had his arm wrapped around her shoulder. Where was Gray? He remembered she made him find the others......unless-
