Chapter 10

Months later.....

"Yawn!" said Cooper as he woke up. Everyone was asleep but Slender. Slender just stared at Cooper with a menaching look. Slender then got up and walked toward Cooper. Cooper scooted back and started to whimper. "What's wrong?" said Slender cocking his head. Cooper tripped on a rock and fell and hit his head on a sharp rock, making him pass out. Jack woke up from the commotion and saw Cooper on the floor passed out. He looked at Slender and was boiling with rage. " You did this!" yelled Jack. He grabbed his blunt knife and tried to stab Slender. "Woah, woah, woah! What are you talking about? I didn't even hurt him! He fell down and hurt his head, and he passed out!" said Slender. "Bullcrap! He's bleeding from the head! The wound looks like he was grabbed!" said Jack. Jack lunged at Slender, but Slender dodged it and in the process grabbed Jack's knife and pushed him away.

All the fighting woke up Grim and he got up. Jack was on the floor. He had a cut on his arm, recently from falling down. Slender was just looking at him. "What's going on?" asked Grim. "Slender attacked Cooper!" said Jack. "No, I didn't! He fell on the ground and hit his head!" said Slender. "Slender is this true?" asked Grim. Slender nodded. Grim went over to Cooper's body and inspected it. He rolled over Cooper and found a deep wound on his head. There was blood on the rock. The surface of the rock looked like it was embedded on his head. 'He must have fell, cause no attack could cause that.' said Grim. Grim went to Jack and picked him up. "Slender was right, he did fall. Also don't blame everything on Slender, he doesn't deserve it." said Grim. Jack put his head down in shame. 'I do this everytime.' said Jack. 'Sometimes I feel like I just slow the team down. But, I will be a better person and fighter one day.'

Cooper woke up minutes later to see that he was bleeding. "What's going on? And why am I bleeding?" asked Cooper. "You tripped and hit your head on that rock over there." said Grim while pointing at the rock. Slender came back with a map and saw Cooper. He walked to Cooper and pat him on the back. "Good to see you okay." said Slender. "Thanks." said Cooper smiling. "So what's the plan?" asked Grim. "Well, the map shows that one of the shards is in a nearby city." said Slender. "Shards? I thought it was a whole crystal!" said Jack. "It was broken into pieces and we need all of them to make them. There are 4 pieces that we need." said Slender. Grim walked toward the cave entrance. "We need to practice our skills if we want to survive, and I know how to do that." said Grim smiling.
