Chapter 2

"Hi, my name is Alexis." I say sticking my hand out hoping she will accept it. She looks down at her note book and mumbles what I think is a hi.

"Could you say that a little louder please?" I ask hoping she will looking up at me so I can see her directly.

She looks up and we lock eyes. Her eyes are the brightest of blue that you could ever thing of.

"I said my name is Joy Summers" she said and she quickly looked away before I could look at anything else.

"What a beautiful name...Joy...." I don't know what else to say really.

She lifts her eyes off of her paper and makes eye contact with me. "Really?...you think so?..." I see her eyes light up with happiness.

"Yeah sweetie it's a beautiful name" I smile at her as she lifts up her head to fully look at me. The bell rings and I put all my books in my bag and turn back to Joy, and she's gone I look at the door and the only thing that I see is her back pack zooming out the door. Well...at least I got her name and got to talk to her some what. I walk to my locker and start putting my books in my locker and taking out my next two classes of books.

Head to my next class I can't help but think of Joy. Why would she just run out of the class so fast...what did I do wrong? Did I move on her to fast? This is going to bug me the rest of the day. I walk into my science class and look up and I see Joy...am I in the right class room? I look around and I see my friend Amy waving to me to go sit with her. I look back at Joy and see that she's sitting in the back by herself. Maybe I should just give her space. I walk to Amy and sit next to her.

"Hey my bestie I felt like we haven't talked in forever!" Amy says smiling and jumping in her seat.

"Um..Amy you saw me this morning" I say laughing.

" I know but its not the same lexiiii!!!!! a whole like 3 hours.....something like that" Only my friend would be this stupid. As class begins i cant help but think that Joy is sitting all by herself.

What if she's not even gay...ugh I didn't eve think of that. Rule #1 never go after a straight girl....well I most likely broke that rule. God! She needs to get out of my head! I'm like going crazy. She's all that i can think about i need a distraction.

"Lexi are you okay?" Amy says

"Yeah i'm fine" I say as I turn around and search for Joy.

"You look like your looking for someone or something" says Amy looking at me worried.

"I'm just looking around I don't really feel good ya know?" I say as I look back at her

"okay just making sure the my best friend is OK and not depressed again."

"I'm not depressed sweetie I'm far from it...I think that I'm in love...honestly" I say as I look down playing with my belt.

As the last bell rings of the day I grab all of my stuff and start to head out as Amy grabs grabs my arm.

"Don't think that I forgot about what you said right there, who are you in love with?"

"I don't think you know her" I say to Amy while we walk out of class together.

"Well tell me then Lexi!"

"Her name is Joy Summers..." I say walking faster to my locker to drop off my books.

"What?!!! You like her!" Amy says as she stops in her tracks as I keep walking. "Come on Lexi! Seriously! Her?!!!!" She says as she try's to catch up to me.

"Stop Amy..." I finally get to my locker and start putting my books in.

"Stop! You like the biggest loser in our school Lexi! And you want me to stop!" She looks at me with her mouth open.

"Yes Amy I want you to stop and she's not a loser, she just shy and doesn't talk to people. It's people like YOU! That make her so insecure!" I slam my locker shut and start walking out of the school to my car.

Amy starts to follow my, she has to slow job to keep up with my long legs.

"Come on Lexi Im sorry i shouldnt have said that but you have to realize that shes really ugly and fat and just down right gross!"

I stop dead in my tracks as Amy rams into my back, i turn around and look her straight in the eyes.

"You say you're sorry then you turn around and call her fat and ugly and down right gross?! Are you kidding me!"

"Lexi why are you getting so pissed at me over a girl you just met!"

"Cause youre such a cold heart fucking bitch that only cares about high class people!:" i scream as i get to my car and try to find my keys in my backpack.

"Im a cold hearted bitch?! Really lexi, ive been here threw everything with you! threw your heart breaks, threw you coming out. THREW EVERYTHING!".

"im done fighting with you right now. When you get your head out of your ass then call me but if you dont, dont bother getting ahold of me." I say as i get into my car and take off leaving.

I cant believe that she would have the nerve to say that to my face. I understand that shes my friend and that she is looking out for me but what the fuck is she looking out for. Joy isnt a rude and dates people just to get into their pants, im pretty sure that she has never dated someone before. I have supported Amy with every boyfriend that she has had and trust me she has had a lot.

I turn into my drive way and notice that once again my mother and father arent home. Living in a house hold where your parents are never home gets lonely someimes but it has its plus side, you can throw parties all the time.

I throw my backpack on the couch and start to rumage through my fridge for something to eat. Just as im about to grab some ice cream my phone starts to ring, i look at my coller id and it says "my main bitch". great its Amy.

"What do you want?" i answer rudely.

"Lexi please talk to me..."

"I have nothing more to say to you Amy, i said what i had to say in the school parking lot."
