A Forgotten Love || Merlin (Red Shoes)

"Hey, your prince said I'm a beauty, right? Just take me and not attack their house!" (Y/n) scowled, trying to get the guards' grasp off but they were too strong. She was scared that they'd get mad at her for running off and thinking that she's with them. But mostly, she was frightened to face Merlin.

"Sorry, kitty. An order is an order." Said the guard as the girl saw two cannon being dragged in to harm them. Her eyes widened and was pushed to the front even more further, until she was now stared by the dwarfs and the lady.

Their eyes widened and Merlin was first to speak up, "Hey, (y/n) doesn't have to deal with any of this!"

Prince Average laughed and played with (y/n)'s hair, getting all of them on their nerves as the girl was disgusted and feared by the guy's action.

"Why not? She's beautiful, weak, and it's easy to toy her feelings." He responded and (y/n) frowned at his statement, feeling disappointed at herself when Merlin looked at her in a sad-surprise look.

The prince clicked his tongue and threatened them all like a kid. "Give me that beautiful criminal or else this kitty will get it!" When he said that, the cannonball was launched to their house, making (y/n) gasp and looked at the man beside her, displeased by how he's acting as a 'prince'.

She snapped at him as soon as another cannonball was launched. "You ever wonder why women don't like you? It's because of your cranky behavior!"

That statement made the dwarfs and Red chuckle, but Average wasn't going to have that. "You shut up!" Said Average as he yanked her hair, not harshly but was enough to hurt the girl. Merlin and the others had enough of the bratty prince. He had an idea when seeing a cannonball stuck on their wall.

As the display castle was about to fall, (y/n) closed her eyes and was ready to get hit and squashed by it, but that was until the bunny grabbed her and ran to where the others have gotten in to avoid on getting hit by the planks.

When Average was the only one who survived that plank, he said he'll come back again and pay (y/n) for what she has stated about him and ran away afterwards. The girl frowned, but it vanished once she felt Red coming to her back and unleashed the tie from her hands. Turning around, she smiled and thanked her, but quickly turns around again to avoid eye contact with Merlin.

The black haired notice her sudden behavior, and he planned on having a talk with her later.

Time skip where night falls, everyone was at their room, including Red.

Merlin was now back into his human form as no one was there. He spotted (y/n) sitting at the ground, staring at the sky with the bunny beside her, accompanying her sweetly. The young man smiled at the sight.

By then, he walked towards her and sat beside her, not so quietly as she already noticed him. And with that, her heart raced and she looked away, staring at the bunny's area to escape her own look from Merlin looking at. She doesn't know if he was pretending that their "love" a year ago was nothing to him or if he's just over it, or not, if he forgot about her and fell in love with Red already.

Feeling his hand being placed on her shoulder, she flinched by his touch. She doesn't know that he didn't mean to forget about her when it's his extra curse's fault that they both didn't know. The other curse that he only has in him to make himself forget about who his love of life is, and that causes his love of life, (y/n), to get a blurry vision when thinking about his face. But that stopped when she was at the tulip field. The field where they last seen each other. It was up to herself now, whether if she confides in again to tell him who she actually was to him or just move on for real.
