The rain has always calmed me. I don't know what it is but whenever I hear it I feel at peace. On these days I'm always in the best kinds of moods. These kinds of days I feel as everything is right and as it should be in the world. Little did I know that that day would not be a usual rainy day. It was the kind of day that would leave a mark on me for the rest of my life. But i'm getting ahead of myself here. Let's start from the beginning of my story. 2 years ago it seemed as if it was a regular day in my life...............
~Victoria's Pov~
"Victoria! Hurry up! Your going to be late for school!"
"Mom, calm down I still have an hour till school starts and I'm almost ready!"
"Okay. But I need to be at work early today. You know how the rain messes my driving up! You have 5 minutes!"
"Yes mom."
I shuffled around in my closet trying to find a nice outfit to wear to school. I settled on a blue t-shirt that says 'Lacrosse Forever' and skinny jeans. Then I went to my mirror and brushed my blonde hair. I grabbed my raincoat and my backpack. I patted my dogs Molly, Hope, and Willow goodbye. I jumped in my moms car right when she turned on the car. "Impressive" said my mom. "Thanks!"
When my mom pulled up in front of my high school, Los Alamitos High. I jumped out of my moms car said a quick goodbye and walked towards my locker. When I got to my locker my best friend, Angelina, was waiting there for me.
"Hi Victoria!" She said
"Hi Angelina!"
"Where have you been!? I've been texting you nonstop!"
"Sorry, I just threw myself into lacrosse training this weekend. I need to perfect it."
"It's fine."
*bring*
"Oh there is the bell! Bye Victoria! See you at lunch!"
"Bye Angelina!"
I made my way to Mr. Smiths classroom. Time to start my day.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Angelina sat down across the lunch table from me with a big grin on her face.
"Oh no. Ange. What did you do?"
"Why do you always think I'm up to something?"
"Because I know you."
"Well I didn't do anything. I just got the lead role in this years play."
"Ange! That's awesome"
"Thanks."
Angelina is one of those people who is fearless. She is outgoing and says whatever is on her mind. She doesn't let people walk all over her. She has full confidence in herself and is very dramatic. That's why I wasn't all that surprised that she got the part.
I dug into my food right as Alanie, my other best friend, sat down. Alanie is captain of the cheer squad and is really shy. She is funny and very down to earth. The complete opposite of Angelina, yet they get along perfectly.
We all talk a little while longer until the bell rings. Then we all leave to go to our separate classes.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The clouds in the sky are dark and indicate signs of rain. Perfect. I'm walking home from school because my mom and dad couldn't pick me up. I have a wired feeling though. Like someone is watching me. Its probably my imagination. I watch way too many crime investigation tv shows.
I walk up to my house and go inside. I do my homework and by the time I'm done my parents are home. We have dinner then it's time for me to go to bed.
As I get comfortable I hear rustling outside my window.
