The rain was sudden. Everything was so sudden. He was hanging with the brown haired Argentina player when he got a call.
It was from an unknown caller.
Hesitantly, he clicked it. He almost regretted it too. The voice was broken, barely able to speak. The voice of one of the bakery workers. Iwaizumi was starting to freak out. He and Oikawa were just there, and everything was fine."Aku went unconscious, she's at the hospital now."
His phone had slipped from his trembling hands. It's been a week since he entered the bakery and met Oikawa. A week since the old lady had introduced the two. She was the reason for so many things that had happened in Iwaizumi's life, and he wasn't ready to lose her yet.
She was the reason he met his new best friend, and what he thought was his other half.
The two males rushed to the hospital. They had sprinted to the other side of the city, blurting the old lady's name at the front counter before sprinting again into the direction they were given.
Iwaizumi was the one to open the door. The first one of the two to see the lady who practically raise him in the hospital bed.
Oikawa was behind him. He was more calm. He was looking at his friend, watching his eyes gather tears before letting them roll down his tan cheeks. He put a hand on his shoulder, urging him forward. The olive-green-eyed male had looked back at him. He had almost started panicking. Everything was connecting. He remembered thinking about Oikawa's eyes, and how they looked familiar. How they held the same calmness and kindness as another. They were just like Aku's.
Swallowing, Iwaizumi entered the room. Oikawa right behind him. The shorter male sat in the seat next to the bed, a hand covering the old lady's."Did you take your medication this morning?" Iwaizumi asked.
The sweet old lady chuckled, then starting coughing. "Oh, Hajime. I ran out of medication a long time ago. It was only a matter of time."
"Why didn't you tell me?" Iwaizumi could hear his own heart shatter, "I could've gotten you more."
"I don't want to bother you, Hajime. You're what, 22? You're so young, and you can't be taking care of me." Aku had smiled. "Like I said, it was only a matter of time."
"A matter of time?..." Iwaizumi stopped to glance around the room. "Why isn't there a heart monitor?..Aku?.."Oikawa's own heart shattered when Iwaizumi let out a strangled cry. The shorter male had stood from the seat to stand, hovering over the old lady. She still had a smile on her face, her eyes trying to close.
"Aku! Aku! Please!" Iwaizumi clutched her hand, sobs racked his body as he witness her close her eyes.
Oikawa went to place a hand on his shoulder. A second after he put his hand on Iwaizumi, the male had jumped away. "Iwaizumi?.." He had gotten the message. "I'll give you a moment, I'll be outside."When the door shut, that's when Iwaizumi let it out. He cries, the sobs, everything. Aku was like his sweet grandmother, and he didn't want to lose her.

Oikawa had came to the bakery. It was closed, but the staff members were inside. They let him in, knowing he was close to Amaku. He wore the outfit he had met the old lady in. He sat at the same table as he always did. It was quiet.
The chime of the bells made everyone look up. There, stood Iwaizumi. He had a disk in hand. He didn't talk. He walked to the player and slipped the disk in.
A string of instrumentals started to play.
"Aku would play these all the time," Iwaizumi spoke as he sat next to the brunette.
Oikawa noticed the tears that slipped down his friend's face. Gently, he wiped them away. The brunette saw the workers crying as well, everyone was crying. But he was going to stay strong, for Iwaizumi. He just cradled his friend, as Iwaizumi had dug his head into Oikawa's shoulder in an attempt to hide his tears. And all Oikawa could do was be his support.
