Big raindrops hit Kou's umbrella, sliding off and hitting the ground. The blonde wished he could have stayed home and watched movies, but instead he was called out and asked to meet his coworkers at a large apartment building a little bit away. Kou Minamoto was a homicide detective at the age 24, able to reach this position thanks to his detective brother and his own skills. This was only his third case, the previous two being a quick case to solve, so he was still new to it all. Especially new to the sight of dead bodies. He walked past the bright yellow caution tape and made his way over to a man crouching by the body of a woman. Avoiding looking at the body as best as possible Kou lightly tapped the man's shoulder. Round amber eyes looked up at him, a smile spreading across the man's face.

"There you are, boy!" He stood up, "I was beginning to think you wouldn't show up"

"Of course I showed up! Why wouldn't I?"

The smaller male just laughed, his playful expression turning serious as he looked back at the victim's body. Amane Yugi was a talented detective, only being a few years older than Kou, he always managed to find the culprit. It was almost like he was Sherlock Holmes himself. The man had earned the name "Hanako" around the workplace, apparently when the office got too loud Amane would take his paperwork to the women's bathroom. Not many women used the work bathroom so it was a place where almost no one came.

"So... any idea what happened?" Kou asked, finally willing himself to look at the body. The woman looked to be in her late 20's, her body was twisted and broken, a pool of blood surrounding her. Glass shards stuck into her body and in her mouth was a piece of cloth, most likely used as a gag.

"She fell from the 10th floor of the building, pedestrians were walking by when she hit the ground" Hanako pointed to a group of people standing to the right, "I need you to get their testimonies."

Kou nodded, grateful to have a job away from the body. The group was quiet, aside from the few who were crying, all had horrified looks on their faces. He introduced himself and asked the people individually about what happened, all answering with the same story.

"I was just trying to get home when she fell right in front of me" one man cried, "her... her blood just went everywhere..."

Kou nodded, trying his best to comfort the man in any way possible. This would never be easy, would it? Writing down the last few notes Kou looked around, checking to make sure he got everyone. Sitting farther away from the witnesses was a man with pink hair, he was looking down at the camera in his hands. Kou walked over to him, waving a hand to get his attention.

"Excuse me, I'm Detective Minamoto, I'm here to ask you a few questions.

"I didn't see anything..." he mumbled immediately, refusing to look up at the detective, "I was taking pictures of the flowers when I heard everybody scream... when I looked the woman was already dead on the ground."

Kou sighed, he was hoping for at least a little bit of new information. Hopefully the camera could reveal something.

"Could I see your pictures? Maybe you caught something"

The male hesitated, but handed the camera to Kou. He scrolled through the photos, finding nothing of interest for the case. Handing back the camera to the man Kou took out his notepad, extending the pen and paper towards him.

"Please write your name and number down just in case we need to question you more"

The pink haired male looked like he was ready to come back at him with an insult but he quickly stopped himself and just complied, writing his name and number. Kou thanked him and made his way back to Hanako who had finished investigating the body.
