Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside while still alive. Never Surrender - Tupac Shakur
As I lay here on this stretcher, all I can think about is the many lives I took and all the family that had to bury their loved ones because of my selfishness. I mean a lot of people I killed deserved to die. They either crossed me, tried to snitch on me, or just straight up disrespected me. Every single person I killed, I had a reason to kill. I just hope I'm not dead as I see a white light coming towards me.
4 Hour Earlier
"So y'all nigga ready?" I asked Shawn and Derrick them as we sat in my living room smoking on a blunt. It was around 7pm. We was recounting money for this drop. Just trying to make sure everything go smooth, don't need no drama.
"So how did you meet this new connect, Lik you know how I am about meeting new people and shit." Derrick spoke as he blew smoke from his mouth. I sighed at looked at the both of them.
"He came to me, he heard I had some good shit so he ask could we exchange some shit. I'll give him something he didn't have and he will give me something I didn't have." I explained to him and Shawn.
"What could he possibly have that we don't have?" Shawn questioned, and I looked at the both of them. It felt like they was questioning my loyalty or intention. I didn't like that shit at all. They have had a week to ask me these questions, now that it almost time to meet this man, they want to get to questioning me.
"If y'all not down to make some good new money then y'all take y'all ass home." I said getting up and going in the kitchen. I grabbed me a water bottle out the fridge and opened it, drinking it. I saw Derrick walk in out the corner of my eye.
"Look Lik, we just trying to make sure it not a set man, you know we done dis business with new people before and the shit didn't turn out good." He spoke looking at me. I nodded my head.
"I know that and I did my research on dude, he legit man, everything going be aight." I replied looking at my watch that sat on my left wrist. It was 7:28 PM. We have to roll out.
"Just remember all money ain't good money." I nodded my head and we walked out the kitchen, we collected our bags and headed out the door. I took in everything he said. Everything.

"Al my man, how are you doing on this fine night." I spoke to my new connect. Al was a new Orleans nigga. He ran his operation through New Orleans to New Mexico. He was white and half Haitian. I heard about them Haitian niggas so we had our guard up.
"My man Gunna, fellas, I'm Al nice for you to bless me with your presence." He spoke as he dapped all of us up. We sat down at the big ass table.
"So you have the product and the money?" I questioned getting straight to the point. He snapped his fingers, two dude came from the back with duffle bags. They sat them on the table and so did we. I open the bag and took out everything. Me, Shawn and Derrick look at the shit confused.
"Yo' Al what the fuck is this?" I questioned angrily now. I was beyind piss because not only he trying to play me but Derrick and Shawn was right about this dude. Guess my research wasn't quite accurate.
"It's the drugs and money, we discuss this already Gunna my man." He spoke puffing on his cigar. I chuckles.
"No we didn't discuss you giving me my shit, nigga, this is my product, I can tell by the stamp on the damn label, question is how the fuck you get it and we just now doing business?" I questioned as I looked at Derrick and Shawn out the corner of my eye. They both was ready. Shit was about to get ugly. Before we knew it everybody was holding their gun to the other.
"You fucked up young blood, it's time for you to retire your throne and let someone else run the street of Atlanta." Al spoke standing up with his gun to my face as I held my gun to his face.
"The only way I leave these street if a nigga have the ball to put me six feet under, you man enough to kill me right now?" We walked in circles holding each at gun point as Derrick and Shawn had his bodyguard them at gunpoint.
I honestly don't know how this shit going turn out but I wasn't about to lose my life to someone so beneath me. As my finger itch to pulled the trigger, I only could think about my girls. What they was going do without me. I put my boys in a fucked up predicament. I should've just listened to Derrick.
All money ain't good money, but I really felt like this was nice deal. As I closed my eyes. I picture my life without out this drug shit. I was happy with my daughter, a legit business man and living life right. My father did tell me that these street was going chew me up and spit me out.
I guess you have to learn on your own. I open my eyes and took in all the air I could. It might be the last breath I take. I pulled my trigger as I ran with Derrick and Shawn behind me. As shot rang out we took cover and started shooting back.
"I told yo' ass this was a bad idea!" Derrick exclaimed at me. I just shook my head and started shooting back. I don't know how the hell we was about to get yo out this restaurant.
"Gunna watc---" Shawn yelled but before I could take cover and shoot back I was shot. To be honest I don't know how many times. I just fell back. I looked up at the ceiling and watched the ceiling fan go in circle.
What you think?
It's short yes I know but, I don't want to make the book boring. There more to come.
