Dakota Rose Fleming was created by god to try and bring his favourite son home. He created the worlds first and only tribrid, which is 1/3 werewolf 1/3 vampire and 1/3 angel.
He created the tribrid so she could be invincible, completely immortal. This was due to the fact that Lucifer possessed the mark of cain. Lucifer was full of rage and hated man kind, he would not hesitate to hurt anyone who was in his path. God did not want his one last hope of saving his son killed in one of Lucifers temper tantrums.
When Dakota and Lucifer first met they absolutely despised each other. The first tree years of her life was spent running from and trying to find a way to permanently kill Lucifer. They both wanted each other dead. As time went by they slowly started to love the game of cat and mouse, although neither of them would ever admit it. As time went on their absolute hatred for each other diminished and rather than trying to find ways to kill each other, they would find ways to see and spend time with each other.
Soon gods plan finally paid off. A beautiful relationship blossomed between the pair. They simply became inseparable. Dakota became Lucifer anchor. She was the reason he clung to his humanity and slowly turned into his caring loving self. He no longer wanted to corrupt and destroy man kind, he found it rather fascinating with her by his side.
For nearly a century they were inseparable, falling in love with each other more and more everyday. Lucifer and Dakota where happy, until the day they were ripped apart. ................................................
The warm sun Cascade it into the room. The morning heat seeping into her tan skin. Her big brown eyes slowly fluttered open, her eyes soaking in the view of the most breathtaking man she's ever laid her eyes on. he had his arm protectively wrapped around her waist. She looked up and took it all his features as she would most mornings.
"good morning Koko" he mumbled, keeping his eyes closed.
His deep raspy morning voice caused the butterfly's to erupt in her stomach.
"good morning angel" she smiled.
He slowly began to open his eyes. He smiled down at her, sleep still evident in his eyes. To him she was the most beautiful entity to exist. The way when she smiled it reached her eyes, to her beautiful brown eyes that had small specks of gold he could get lost in. He was the luckiest man alive.
He slowly leaned down and planted a sweet gentle kiss on her lips. This caused the heat to start creeping up from her neck and planted itself on her cheeks. It amazed her that even after a century he still had this affect on her. They laid there in a comfortable silence, basking in each other's presence. Their limbs tangled underneath the heavy cream coloured duvet.
The peace was suddenly broken by the sound of fluttering wings. Raphael and Micheal stood at the door of their bed. Dakota let out a small yelp in surprise. Lucifers grip tightened around her waist pulling her closer to his chest.
"hello brother, Dakota"
Dakota narrowed her eyes at the two angels standing before her. A small pit forming in her gut. She knew something bad was going to happen and she would be damned if they touched a hair on Lucifers head.
"hello brothers?" Lucifers face scrunched in confusion.
Micheal looked away from his younger brother. A look of guilt flashing over his features momentarily before being covered by his emotionless mask. Raphael stepped forward so he was now beside Micheal. They both looked at each other and nodded.
"i'm so sorry brother but orders are orders"
Lucifer instantly sat up, prepared to question his brother's apology, when Micheal appeared behind lucifer and pinned his arms behind his back. Dakota turned her body to face Lucifer her eyes glowing yellow as she is prepared to fight for the safety of her lover. Raphael took this as an opportunity to pierce Dakota from the back, with the one weapon that can injure her. Lucifers eyes glowed a fiery red.
" Dakota! no!!" he screamed.
He looked back at Micheal. Betrayal, sorrow and anger written all over his face. A flash of fear covered Micheals face and disappeared as quickly as he came, releasing lucifer from his grip.
Lucifer was instantly at Dakotas side. grey veins spreading up her chest and down to her toes. Dakota knew this was the end of the line for her. She thought she was invincible, but nothing is ever truly immortal and unfortunately that meant her too.
She looked up at Lucifer. His bright blue eyes that always seemed to be filled with hope and joy were now dull and glib.
"please. please Koko don't leave me. i need you" he sobbed as he held her dying body in his arms.
she forced a small smile onto her face, one that didn't quite reach her eyes. she slowly moved her hand to cup his cheek. using her thumb she stroked his cheek, wiping away some of the tears. He nuzzled into her hand. savouring the feeling of her touch. He knew this would be the last time that he would get to feel her soft skin on his.
"hey angel, i'm right here"
The sound of her voice fading broke his heart even more. He didn't think he would ever feel this much pain.
"please stay with me. You and i can go to the starts just please don't leave." he paused for a moment. "i'm too scared to live in this world without you"
Dakota's heart shattered at the words he was saying. She has never seen him so vulnerable. Sure she's seen him angry, resentful. But never once has she seen him so defeated. She gave him a sad smile.
"have no fear my love, we will meet again i promise"
He closed his eyes, not wanting to see the love of his life die before him. His anchor, his whole world dying in his arms and he couldn't do anything to stop it. He slowly opened his eyes and looked into her dull eyes that used to be so full of life.
"i promise they won't get away with this, i will make them pay for what they did to you"
She frowned a little bit and looked into his eyes again. She slowly shook her head.
"No my love, don't"
His words caught him off guard.
"Angel please promise me you won't go back to your old ways, stay kind and loving be strong. promise me"
He looked away from her momentarily. Shock written on his face. But a small smile formed on his face. This is one of the many reasons he fell in love with her in the first place. She used the hand she placed on his cheek to guide his eyes to hers.
"i promise" she smiled at his words. "say it" she said as she let out a small giggle. She winced as the pain started to increase. He gave her a soft smile and let out a chuckle.
"i promise, promise, promise"
She smiled and pulled him in for one last kiss. The kiss was firm but gentle. Both of them savouring the feel of their lips against each other's. Slowly the pulled apart. Dakota took her final breaths and was able to whisper.
"i love you angel"
A single tear fell down her cheek. Lucifer sobbed pulling her dead body closer to his chest. The love of his life was pulled away from him. He wanted to keep his promise to her so bad. But he was so infuriated at the fact that the one good thing in his life was taken from him by his own family.
As days turned to weeks and weeks turned to months. The rage that Dakota helped keep at bay was slowly peaking to the surface. He started to let out all the rage by corrupting and trying to end man kind. But this time it was not just out of spite. It was revenge for the one who was ripped from his life.
