One night, as Alita and her husband, Christian, were about to fall asleep, they heard their two kids fighting down the hall.
"Knock it off, Donny!" screamed Isabella, their 9-year-old daughter.
"I can't! It's natural!" replied their 7-year-old son, Donovan.
"You're such a jerk!"
"I know you are but what am I?!"
"It's your turn," Christian said sleepily.
"It was my turn last time," answered Alita.
"They're your kids," said Christian, smirking playfully.
Alita rolled her eyes as she got up to settle their kids' despute. "What's wrong?" she asked as she walked into their room.
"He woke me up with his snoring, Mom."
"It's not my fault!" whined Donny.
"I know, baby. Izzy, you know he can't help it. Don't be mean, hun."
"Well, now i can't go back to sleep," replied Isabella. "Will you tell us a story?"
"What kind of story?"
"A love story!" yelled Izzy excitedly.
"No!" protested Donny.
"Fine. I'll tell you a love story, but next time your brother gets to pick. Are you ready?"
"Yeah," they both replied as she tucked them back into bed.
"Here we go. Once upon a time, there was a girl named Allison. Allison was a senior in high school. She was the valedictorian and placed number one on both the swimming and tennis teams. She also thought she was in love. The guy that she thought she was in love with was the high school's bad boy, Jacob, and they had been dating for two years.

"Hey, babe," said Jacob as he walked up to Allison at her locker.
"Hey, Jake. How was your night? Anything interesting happen?"
"Good. Nothing really happened. I ate dinner, watched TV, and went to bed. Same ol', same ol'. How about you? Did you miss me?" he asked, giving her a wink.
She laughed. "Defintitely. But the bell is about to ring. I'll see you after class, okay?" She gave him a quick kiss and walked off.
"Well, well, well. Wasn't that just adorable," said a voicefrom behind Jake. As he turned around, he realized who it was.
"Angelica. What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in class?"
"Shouldn't you?" she laughed.
"Maybe. Maybe not," he replied, closing the space inbetween them and leaning in to kiss her.
Just as she closed the remaining space, Allison came around the corner. At first, all she saw was Jake. "Hey, babe. What are you--" She stopped dead in her tracks as she saw Angelica's lips meet his. Her voice was shaky as she asked what he was doing.
"Oh, um... Hey, Ali. What are you doing here?"
"What am I doing here? What are YOU doing here is more like it! I can't bellieve you would do that to me, you jerk!"
"Ali, I--"
"You nothing! I thought you loved me!"
"Apperently you thought wrong," said Angelica.
"You stay out of this," Allison replied, her voice shaking as tears streamed down her face. She turned and ran away, forgetting what she was going to her lcoker for...

"That's not a very good love story," interrupted a sleepy-voiced Isabella.
"Well, if you'd let me finish," laughed Alita. "Now back to the story. Later that day, Allison was comforted by her best friend, Tyler, as she told him everything that had happened..."

"And I just ran away. I can't believe it. He is such a jerk!" Allison exclaimed.
"I know, Ali," said Tyler, in an attempt to comfort her. "You've always been too good for him. I don't see why he would do that to you. I mean... You're sweet, caring, smart, funny... and very pretty. What more could a guy want?"
"You're only saying all that necause you're my best friend."
"No, I'm saying it because I love you."
Allison started to laugh, and then she saw the look on Ty's face. "You're serious?" she asked, scooting closer to him and staring him straight in the eyes.
Tyler came nose to nose with her and said, "I, Tyler James Ford, am in love with you, Allison Grace Johanson." Right as he finished speaking, he leaned forward and kissed her. When he had finished, she pulled away and smiled back at him.
"I love you, too," she said, as she smiled and kissed him again.

"They spent the rest of their senior year together, and even ended up at the same college. After that, they got married and lived happily ever after," Alita said, as the story came to an end. She looked up to see that both of her children were fast asleep once again. She kissed them on their foreheads, tturned off the light, and walked back to her room.
She knew one day she would tell them that story again, when they asked how she had fallen in love with their father, but for now it would remain a fairy tale.
