It was August 12 when I decided to voice chat with my online friends from a discord server. Just to name a couple of them, Eve, Mak, Kran, Ally, and Adri and Echo who I just know because they threatened to doxx me.
I never thought I'd be saying this, but out of all those people, there was one special person who caught my eye... Riley. I know, I know. It's an odd choice but his accent was so adorable and his voice in general was more than just dreamy. How could you not fall for him? Even just thinking about him had butterflies in my stomach.
I got so lost in my own thoughts that I didn't even realize the storm of messages coming in.
"riley, say shiver me timbers!"
"say it or i'll kick you 😡😡"
What the hell?! Why are they forcing Riley to say something just because of his accent?
Of course, I was quick to defend him. How could anybody say that to my baby?! ...Uhm, I mean friend.
But no matter how many times I tried to tell my friends, they kept harassing him, and then started to harass me.
"stfu ben"
"ben, no one cares about ur opinion"
I was a bit hurt by their words, but I just uploaded a random video to brush it off. Besides, my feelings have little importance right now. My top priority was to save Riley from this hellhole.
So what was my plan? Well, I really didn't have one. The only thing I knew for sure is that I had to message him privately, or else everybody would make fun of me.
I looked in my friends list to find Riley's username, Zoxt.
