I absolutely hate parties. Everything about them. I really just wanted to skip this party and go down to the beach and watch the sunset but I know that's gonna be a bad first impression.

I looked through my wardrobe trying to find something to wear. I'm not the type of person to keep loads of jeans and dresses I'm more a joggers and jumper girl but I do have the odd dress.  I then found my best dress and put it on. It was a dark red colour with sequins on it that made it shimmer in the evening light. I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in...

"Sorry madi it's just me just wanted to check your okay and tell you that everyone's here".

"Thanks harry I'm just coming out now"

I looked down at my phone as I took it off charge. It was 8:24 and the party started at 8. Great! What an amazing first impression. I walked out of my room and down the hallway and saw everyone in the living room. I expected everyone to look at me or to talk to me but nobody did. They were too busy talking or drinking or dancing. I walked around nervously. I don't know who to talk to.  Callum  was busy and I don't know anyone else's. I tried to look around for harry but couldn't see him. He was probably off with some girl.  Since dad died I haven't been the same. I miss him so much.  I have barely spoken to anyone or gone on any nights out. I preferred to stay home and watch Netflix.

I didn't even realize that I was lost in a day dream until someone tapped my shoulder and asked me if I was okay.She introduced herself, she said her name was talia and she was dating simon. She could tell I was nervous so she introduced me to a few other people as well.JJ, Ethan and will. They are all very nice but I suppose they are drunk. I started to feel more calm when I saw harry walk into his room with some girl. It really bothered me to see him do that but I don't know why.

Slowly I started to fell less nervous as the party went on. Throughout the party everyone started to talk to me and make me feel more welcome. Harry was still off with one of his little girlfriends so I decided to forget about him. Maybe he just wasn't meant to be ...
