Void/Letting them in

I lost myself in the void

The one that guards my soul

Where the guardian protects its walls

And the determined attempt to break in.

They will never get past those walls

For the guardian does his job well

But for those who do,

Beware the void and the sickening darkness

The black that is devoid of love,

Gentleness and comfort

Beware the tears that fall from the eyes

And the squeezing pain of the heart

Beware all

Trust none

Look for the promises to be kept

The promise of life.
