"I need your help, Deku..."

The greenette never thought he'd hear those words, just as Bakugou never thought he'd be saying them. But... This was for Ei. He'd swallow his pride for his lover.

"With what Kacchan?" Deku asks through the phone.

After hero school, they'd went their separate ways and started their own lives. Deku and Uraraka were together, both deciding to work as nurses at the local hospital instead of being heroes. Bakugou, Eijirou, Denki, Mina, and Sero all stayed in contact, even working in the same hero agency. Bakugou was number one and his lover, number two. They were the top hero duo.

"Kacchan?"

Snapping out of his thoughts, the blonde sighs and tries to control his growing irritation. He's the one who called Deku in the first place. It wasn't his friend's fault that he didn't know what he wanted.

"I'mgonnaproposetoEi..." He mumbles so quickly that even he didn't know what he said.

"Say it again, but slowly."

Bakugou held himself back from pointing out that Deku used to ramble just as quickly and did as he was told.

"I'm going to propose to Ei." Bakugou said quietly.

There was silence on the other end of the phone and then loud squealing that made even the loud and explosive Bakugou wince.

"DAMN IT! ARE YOU TRYING TO BUST MY EAR DRUMS?!"

Deku giggled on the other line and mumbled an apology that didn't sound all that apologetic, before getting serious.

"You're finally going to do it, huh. What do you need my help with then Kacchan?"

"Just come over stupid Deku..." Bakugou grumbles before hanging up.

The blonde knew that his friend would show up, if only to squeal more and fanboy at him. His nerves were on edge, hands trembling violently at the thought of what would be happening in just a few hours. Bakugou had taken today off just so he could plan it all out for when Eijirou got home. But now, he was having second thoughts.

What if he thought it was too soon? What if he said no? What if— Loud knocking made him jump and rush to open the door. Without a second thought, he dragged the person inside before shutting the door behind them.

"Thank God you'r— Pinkie?!"

The pinkette, still looking mildly surprised by her friend's odd behavior, only managed a meek nod. Bakugou sweat dropped and started mumbling excuses.

"Bakugou, what is going on?"

"Well I.. uh.. I was..." His voice carried off as he tried to think of some way out of this interrogation.

Before Bakugou could say anything else, Mina whipped out her phone and called the group chat. Everyone immediately answered, except Bakugou and Eijirou, who was on patrol in the city. 

"Hello?"

"Hiya Mina!" Denki yelled over Sero's mellow voice.

"Bakusquad Meeting ASAP!! Meet us at Bakugou's house."

"What about Kiri?" Denki asked, confused at the suddenness of the meeting.

"We'll have to do it without him. I think this actually has something to do with him, so it's better if he isn't here anyway." Mina looked to Bakugou for assurance, to which he nodded hesitantly.
