Love this one! Makes me want to dance so much. I love listening to music and this song is all about Stromae's love of music, his addiction to it: the chorus basically tells you that music is his drug - "c'est [...] ma dose, ma weed, ma coke, mon speed, mon crack, ma musique". It's a song that I'm vaguely addicted to. It's not one which I can produce a mini amateur essay on like 'Alors on danse' but I feel like I can really relate to Stromae because of it.

My favourite part is this bit:

J'espère que je me lèverai tôt, pour que j'obtienne ma dose;

que je m'injecte un micro, que j'en sois accro et que j'en crève

Parce que me lèverai tôt, et je m'injecterai ma dose

de micros, d'over-proses,

jusqu'à ce qu'ils soient mes rêves

I hope I'll wake up early, so as to get my dose,

to inject a microphone in me, to get addicted and to die of it

Because I'll wake up early, I'll inject my dose of

microphones and 'overproses'

until they're my dreams

The metaphor of a happy death caused by an overdose of music is so striking that it seemed to convey to what extent Stromae loves music and the idea of that extent inspired me, the metaphor striking a chord in me. I love hearing about people's passions for things. Emotions are what I think make life worthwhile. So I love the metaphor.

Also, as a poetic sort, how could I fail to love the idea of music pervading his dreams?

I also like the way this part of the song is recorded differently and the musical backdrop to his wonderful analogies.

Next, I love the repetition of 'ma musique', that repetitive refrain in Stromae's mind, symptom of his addiction, of the way that he can never escape it.

This song is a fantastic expression of a love of music and one of those tracks I can't around moving around to, dancing-fashion, while I'm sitting listening to it.
