Rylie and Austin walk in separately for their first day of work. Austin comes in first and finds his office.
Austin notices all the attention he's getting from the women as he walks in. It tends to boost his ego even more. He knows he's attractive and he likes that others know too.
Rylie walks in a few minutes later. She was dressed in a rather tight dress that hugs her curves well. She walks passed the lounge area where some of the men sit. Smiling in their direction.
"Damn, who's that?" A man asks.
"I think it's the new women Jason was talking about. God Damn, what an ass." Another man remarks.
"I know, and I get it every night when I get home." A voice speaks up. They turn to see the man that passed them earlier.
"Hello, gentlemen. Austin Parker. That's my wife, Rylie." He introduces himself.
"Oh, that's your wife." The first man who spoke said. "I'm Liam Wellington." He reaches his hand out for a handshake which Austin returns.
"Sorry about that comment about your wife, man. Im Asher Hamilton." He extends his hand out.
"It's alright my man, she's got an ass. I know it and everyone who has eyes knows it." Austin chuckles and returns the handshake. Austin was the kind of guy whos attitude never changed from college. Your typical frat boy. He loved to boost himself, he was a very selfish person. He treated Rylie like an object and he never thought she was good enough, but he 'settled'.
They briefly say goodbye and Austin heads over to Rylie.
"They like your ass." Austin smirks.
Rylie looks up with annoyance. "Amazing." She sighs. Rylie always got the best, when Austin came along she quickly found out he was the best so she went after him. She knew how he treated her, she didn't like it, but she dealt with it.
Rylie wasn't really happy with moving to a different firm. All her friends were at her other firm in LA. She wanted to work closer to her husband, but at the same time she didn't. Her and Austin recently thought about a divorce, she hoped this would save their marriage. After all he was her husband.
"So, are you going to introduce me to Jason?" She asks. Jason is the boss of Thomas Law & Co, he's also been Austin's best friend since college. However Rylie's never met him because they lived in different states.
"Yeah, ok." Austin agrees.
They walk past the men from earlier and Austin couldn't help but lower his hand onto Rylie's bottom and gently squeeze. Winking and smirking at the other men. He didn't do it out of jealousy. It was just kind of their 'inside joke' now.
Rylie notices what he was doing and takes his hand off her.
They arrive at Jace's office. He motions for them to come in.
"Hello, Mr. Thomas." Rylie obviously noticed how attractive he was. She could also tell how professional he was. He was sexy and intimidating to her.
"Please, call me Jason." The attraction wasn't one sided. Jackson noticed how attractive Rylie was.
"Jace, my man!" Austin pats him on the back.
"It's my pleasure. You and Rylie are two of LA's finest and I'm proud to have you here."
He stands up from his desk, towering over us at about 6'4.
"We're gonna have a barbecue next week, man you've gotta come." Austin insists.
Rylie looks over at him with confusion, but smiles back at her new boss.
"Sure, my wife and I would love to."
