The last thing I heard my mother say was to never sacrifice your happiness for a mans. Then she left. I dont resent her for leaving over the river to where women were free. Im not sure if my mother made it across but I plan to. This kingdom was not kind to women; none of them were except for across the river. In Padur a womans job was to bear young, cook, clean, do the laundry and most importantly please their men. A man who had many daughters was a wealthy man as the price for a bride was high and the higher the rank the higher the bride price. Mine in particular was high.

My father was High Lord of Padur second only to the King. He currently had seven wives. He used to have more, from what I overheard he used to have twenty-seven of them and my mother was his favourite. Beauty they say he used to call her. They told me of how he would dismiss every wife around him when she entered a room and she loved him. She bore him three children before she left. Odin Frost, Finnian Frost and Scarlet Frost. Fathers pride and joy.

My fathers family name came from the unique trait passed down through generations: Snow white hair and ice blue eyes and skin so pale. My mothers children were his only children to take the trait so naturally we were treated the best. I was different though I didnt just take after my father, I also took after my mother.

She had red firery hair with eyes described to be lit with fire and dark skin so beautiful it shone in the sun. It seemed in the womb I decided I would take no more and no less from my parents. My hair was white on one side and red on the other, my eyes appeared to be a ball of ice stuck in a ring of fire and my skin not dark nor pale but a mixture that is described by many as golden brown.

When I was young my brothers would tease me saying I scared my mother away. That after she gave birth and looked at the monster, she created she ran away. I would ignore them and continue to play in the garden. As I aged, I was complimented on my beauty more and my half sisters started to ignore me, all 18 of them. When I asked my tutor Ms. Tabetha she told me no matter relations female tend to be envious of other who they find to be a threat to their life in any way. Ultimately, I was left with only the other Lords Daughters as female companion and my brothers for company.

I later found out later that I was referred to as the exotic beauty of the frost house through out the kingdom and that even though I was sixteen and could be married off is because I was being saved for the Kings oldest son Javai. I found it funny every time I would ride through town and hear the rumours. Javai was known to be a cruel and hot-tempered man, I could never be married to him or else he would kill me way before I could even try to escape. He was not a man fit to rule, his behaviour also started a rumour that the king will not name him his eldest as his successor but instead his younger brother Janiel would be named King after their father even though a fool could see that her was a better choice it was total Ludacris for a second born to be named king without the firstborn being dead.
