My heros, your nightmares

Chapter one

Run. That's all I can do right now is run. Don't look back.

"What do you want from me!?!" I hollared as the monster chases me deeper in the woods. "Leave me alone!"

I run, and run until my legs and chest burns, hot tears running down my cheeks. Run. Just run.

I thought I was going to loose the monster bit as soon a hope filled me, I was tackled to the ground. Right before it was able to hurt me I woke up.

I woke up in cold sweat breathing heavily. "Thank goodness, it was only a dream." I said to no one. I looked on the blue clock that read 5:30am.

Knowing I wouldn't be able to fall asleep again, I decided to get ready for school. I mean, I would of had to wake up in thirty minutes anyways.

I walked over to my closet and pulled out a black tank top and a 'Hollywood Undead' sweat shirt and blue skint jeans. I then headed to my bathroom and brushed my hair and my teeth.

I made my way downstairs and smelt pancakes. Yummy. My mother was making breakfast. In my family it's only me and my mom, dad left us when I was four, but I've been fine without one. He was a ass whole anyways.

"Good morning momma." I said as my mom finishes breakfast. "Good morning Kate. Did you sleep well?" She asked nicely. "Ehh I've slept better. I had another nightmare."

You see ever sence I was about 12 I have had problems with sleeping. I always have a nightmare, they are usually different everytime but I have seen having the same one for about a week now.

"Here you go, girly." My mom said as she sat down a plate with only one pancake one it. I don't eat much at all. "Thank you momma." "Your welcome, I have to go to work early today. Are you ok walking?" "Yeah I'm fine with that." I say with a smile. My mom smile back as she softly lands a kiss on my forehead. "I love you girly. Have a good day at school today and be careful." "I will momma, love you too." After that she got her keys to her red convertible.

After I finished breakfast I washed the dishes real quick then turned on the TV. The first thing that came on was the news.

"Today Hawks ville schools will be closed today do to a murder in the area. We are closing schools for the safety of the students and the staff. Keep your doors and windows locked and stay safe."

"...well damn." I pulled out my phone and called mom. "Hey momma, schools are closed today. It's because a murder. Ok I will love you too." I hung up the phone and made sure the windows and doors were locked.

"Well shit. Now what?" I changed the channel to watch some... I don't even know theres nothing good to watch. "Screw it, I'll bake." I said

As soon a I turned around to go to the kitchen I heard a knock on the door. "Who is it??" I hollared and no one answered.

"... mkay." I then went to the door and saw...
