The large grounds bustled with energy and excitement, the soft prayers being heard from the large temple. A melodious voice filled the air with tales of Radha-Krishna and the murmurs of praise set the grounds abuzz. Despite the commotion, a certain tranquility seemed to blanket the place.

He stepped out of his car, taking in the vast, extensive grounds, the lake shining under the sun and the hullabaloo. His eyes scanned the crowd, pausing when they spotted a pandal. Shivaay motioned Khanna to park the car as he took quick steps towards where he was sure his grandmother was.

Kalyani Singh Oberoi was surprised for a second when she felt arms wrap around her before she saw them and realised it was her eldest grandson.

"Shivaay?"

He smiled and came to stand in front of her. "I had to come see what had you so excited."

"Thank you so much for coming. You know-"

"Dadi, everyone's here I think we should-" Shivaay heard her speak and stop as soon as she realised Kalyani was engaged in a conversation already. "Oh I am sorry, I did not realise you were talking to someone."

Shivaay turned around. The first thing he noticed were her eyes. Oh, they looked familiar. The kind of eyes he might have had dreams about. He then looked at her entirely. She was pretty, he could admit. She had this charm about her. Shivaay frowned, why did she feel so familiar? Like someone he'd known forever?

"Anika, meet my grandson, Shivaay." Kalyani happily introduced him. "And Shivaay, puttar, this is Anika. She is helping me out with this entire event."

Anika raised her hand for a handshake only to have him blankly stare at her. Anika rolled her eyes. "Is there a problem?"

Shivaay shook himself out of his thoughts, confounded. "No, I just- Dadi, why did you want me here?"

Kalyani smiled, slightly amused. "You'll help me serve all these people. Will work in your favour someday."

"If only the world worked that way. The good won't nullify the questionable." Shivaay commented. He heard Anika snort beside him.

"Dadi, I was just telling you, they are ready for lunch."

"And he's here as well, let us begin."
