Ugh another stormy night...another lonely night without a mom or a dad..

My mom was diagnosed with cancer when I was 11 and my dad was constantly worried he would stay with her in the hospital everyday he had to be by her side bc the doctors said she wouldn't make it.

Sadly

My dad started drinking at nights and only nights non stop he would be a normal person at morning but a stranger at dark while my mom was in the hospital he would come him drunk obviously and one time he hit me...he hit me several times.

I still loved my dad bc I knew it wasn't his fault it was his emotions getting the best of him I tried talking to him about his drinking habits.

"Dad I need you right now drinking isn't gonna solve anything it makes the situation worse moms not gonna make it and she only has a few more weeks" I said with a tear I was fighting to hold back fall down my cheek as I said shes not gonna make it "please dad if both of u aren't here then I'm gonna-"

I couldn't finish my sentence bc I got slapped by my own dad.
"Don't u ever say she's not gonna make it!!" He said knocking things over
I flinched and built up some courage and spoke"well you're not a doctor so how would u know huh dad?!"
He realized what he did and softened His eyes and look at me "I-" was all he could say before I sprinted to the front door and slammed it I didn't know that was the last time I would see him...

I went to my best friends house knocked on her door and her mother opened it and say the terrible red hand print on my face she was shocked and asked what happened I said nothing and just fell to her she caught me and I bursted into tears

I was later brought inside and I was giving new clothes bc it was raining outside that night too I told her that my dad hit me and she was furious she knew my dad as a nice guy and didn't think he would do such a thing she softened and stroked my cheek telling me "it's gonna he fine baby"

The next day I woke up in her house just to hear the worst news ever.

My mom had died
