(OUTDATED) Inanimate Insanity AU - Spring's Heart

Chapter 1 - Is Everything Really A - OJ?

(Context - Episode 7)

(Note - I might also leave some notes, like this one, to clear up things that might confuse you. Also note that ALL OF THE CONTESTANTS ARE PART WOLF. That's just a part of the AU.)

Fan's POV

I stared down at Eggy worriedly. His crack was scaring me. Trying to take my mind off it, I just stuffed more popcorn in my face. Test Tube had these little wires hooked up to Eggy, but I think she was doing it for a good reason. There was an angry grunt, and I looked over at Paintbrush who was cleaning by himself.... o-or themselves. I'm still not sure what gender Paintbrush is... if they even have one. I'm just going with whatever gender Lightbulb gives her.... UGH them!

*crack* *gasp*

I quickly turn my gaze back to Eggy. Test Tube was leaning closer to Eggy. The crack was getting closer to being.... done. I really didn't want him to hatch, but then again, I can't control what the world does. Then.... *crack* another crack. It must be happening now!

*crick.... crack.... crack*

Test Tube took off the wires and scooted back a bit. The crack finally touched the other side, and then.... The top part started to lift. I stepped forward and grabbed the top of the egg and lifted it slowly. There was a soft little squeak from inside the egg. I paused for a second, then continued. Once I fully lifted the top of the egg, the little creature let out another squeak before pulling back into the bottom half of the egg.

"What is it?" Test Tube asked, and I shrugged. "I'm not too sure," I tried to look at it, but the little thing didn't want to come out. I reached for it, and it moved up a little. 2 fluffy ears popped up. Small minty green eyes looked up at me. Two little paws reached out and grabbed my hand, pulling it to them. I moved my other hand over, and moved the little guy up a bit. Getting a better look at it. It was a tiny white canine creature with green stripes.

"It looks like.... a wolf? But why in an egg?" Just as I said that, the little creature squeaked and 2 little dragon-like wings spread out from behind its shoulders. I jumped back in surprise.

"It has Wings?" Test Tube called. I walked over to her. She looked at the wings, then gently touches them. The wolf squeaked, but didn't freak out. "They are like... dragon wings. So, I guess it's a Wolf Dragon. I've studied dragons and beings like them, but I never knew a mix of Dragons and Wolves exist! Fascinating!" I smiled. Seeing Test Tube so happy made me feel all warm inside. I give her the little wolf dragon, and she holds it gently like a baby.

"Oh! And it's not a he. It's a she." Test Tube said. I was confused. "O....oh. Well.... I didn't know that" "Heh, it's alright Fan!" Test Tube chuckled. After examining 'Eggy' for a few more seconds, I came up with a name. "Spring. Let's name her Spring" I said. Test Tube nods. "I love that name!" She places Spring down, and she looked around excitedly. Then she made these cute little noises.

Arf. Ruff! Reh! Rah!

"Awwwww!" I was so overjoyed! It was so cute. Then she sprinted away from us. I quickly followed her. She jumped right into my popcorn! I quickly ran over and stole it from her. She looked up with a expression that says 'What just happened'. Then she sprinted off in another direction, and I couldn't keep up with the speedy kid!

Spring's POV (Note - Spring can THINK in full sentences, though she forgets things easily, but she can't speak in full sentences yet. That's why she only makes strange dog noises.)

Running running! Ooh! What's that? It's a soft material! Imma chew on it! Nom nom! Hmm? It appears to be wet. I wonder what this item is!
