Chapter 4 - A -MAZE- ing conflicts

(Context - Episode 10)

Fan's POV

I still don't fully  understand the stuff Spring said to me yesterday, I'm quite confused. But I hear.... something? Idk, but I think the challenge is starting soon. Woah, a maze? Hmm. Looks like Mephone finally got a challenge idea. Spring looks so excited. Also, I just noticed how big she is now. Basically, Mephone makes a bad joke, and then everyone just does their thing. Marshmallow heads off with Paintbrush. Lightbulb looked sad and muttered something to herself. Then she ran up to me and said, "Yo Flat Face, I-I mean Fan! Uh, come on, we can be flying buddies!" What... what did she just call me- Eh whatever. 

I reply, "I'm not sure what that entails, but sure...", then I turned to Spring, who still looked excited as she could ever be. Test Tube looked at me with a questioning look, and I looked back at her and said "Uh, Test Tube, Do you think you can watch Spring for me? Lightbulb can't keep herself from shattering. Just keep Spring far away from her." Spring then looked at me with a disappointed look. Why? I'm just trying to protect her.

Spring's POV

Hah! Fan wants me to go with Test Tube? I'm not a baby anymore! I'm bigger than a normal wolf, I can watch myself! "I don't need TT to go with me! I'm old enough to take care of myself now!" I barked, then sprinted into the maze, going straight through the wall of leaves, and not going into the entrance. Test a Tube and Fan call for me, but I just keep sprinting, and burst through another wall of leaves. I sprint right past Suitcase, who looked.... uhm, not too good... I'm too busy running to actually notice what she was doing,

I keep running through all the bushes and I end up finding Lightbulb and Fan. Lightbulb randomly had a keyboard? And Fan.... idk what they are doing. Lightbulb was just tapping a single key over and over. Paintbrush comes in to see what they are doing, and then leaves again. Fan spins a.... wheel. Wait wh- where are these things coming from? I don't understand- OH MY, PAINTBRUSH IS MAD. Out of fear, I just ran away. Shoving my way through another leaf wall, I end up bumping into Microphone.

Microphone's POV

Ow! Something just tread on my tail! Oh... it's just Fan's little.... wolf... thing. "Oh I'm sorry!" She yelps. She stumbles off of my tail, and I just give her a little pat on the head. "It's alright, just an accident". I say reassuringly. She smiles at me, and then quickly runs off. Idk what that was about but anyway, back to this 'gain' thing.

Spring's POV

I run past Fan and Lightbulb again, just doing weird things again. Then I find Test Tube, and she's getting shot at by... lasers?! What the heck? I shake my head, thinking I was just seeing things, and quickly just ran through another wall. I came to a dead end. I was just gonna run through but then.... Spring. Something said my name! I just around. "Wh-who's there?!" I yelped in fear. Danger is coming. Don't take the wrong turn. "Show y-yourself!" I snarled. Then, a white wolf with red stripes stepped through the leaf wall... more like phased through. It was a ghost! "... w-who-" Rose.... My name is Rose. I'm your sister, just like Daisy. "S-sister?" Then the wolf from before, Daisy, appeared beside Rose. Oh my.... N- no. I- that's- I cant- AUGH. This- I'm stressing out.... I- I think I'm gonna.....

SIZZZZZZZzzzzzz.....

F-Fire! My paw.... I looked down. Green Fire was coming from the tips of my claws. Wh- no.. My Fire is orange, not green. What's happening to me!?  I wanted to scream so hard, but I didn't. I started backing away from them. I hear a sizzle from behind me, and jumped. MY TAIL IS ON FIRE! I shrieked and ran for it. I bolted through the walls, spreading the fire across the maze. I bursted from the leaves and saw Test Tube and Knife. The exit!

I ran as fast as I could. They both stopped, but I didn't. I ran between them. "LOOK OUT" I screamed. The rest of the contestants jumped out of the way, and I tripped. I rolled, and flopped a few feet from the maze. Ouch... "What happened to my maze?!" I heard Mephone yelp from behind me. I scrambled to my feet and turned around. My tail and claws were no longer on fire... Why? Why had that happened? Basically all of the contestants were looking at me. I noticed what I did to the maze. About maybe 80% of it had been burned.

Mephone glared at me, and I pulled back a little, whimpering. "....Okay. We're done here" He said, a tone of anger in his voice. Test Tube did not look okay. Oh, and she fell over. I feel really bad now.... N-no. It was those ghosts faults for deciding it was a good idea to talk to me and make me all stressed in the middle of a LEAF maze! Fan's scared and confused voice pulls me from my thoughts "Oh my gosh... NO ELIMINATION?! WHA- WHAT WILL US LOYAL FANS DO INSTEAD?!" then he started going absolutely crazy. I- I'm just... ugh...

A few minutes later, at the Spoiled Lemon concert

Fan's POV

Spring has been acting really down after her accident with the maze. I don't actually fully remember what happened exactly, but she seems really upset. I was just watching Pineapple singing A Party on my phone. He wasn't singing it the best. "Why did you buy those Spoiled Lemon tickets from that scalper!? This band sucks! Get your money back!" Marshmallow snapped. I whimpered and then replied, "It's weird, they just never sound as good on the phone." Paintbrush then growled, "Oh yeah, that's gotta be it."Then Pineapple coughed, and Paintbrush stared in disgust.

I then overheard Nickel say "-You wouldn't believe what these suckers will pay to watch these idiots." Angrily, I snapped back, "They're not idiots, they're artists! Those two things aren't necessarily related! Gosh!" then Knife barked, "Shut up over there! They're starting!"

Spring's POV

My mind was in a mess right now. I ruined the challenge for Mephone4 because of 2 ghost wolf dragons who say that they are my sisters. I probably almost burned a few of the contestants, and now I can barely even think straight and.... Wh- someone is singing? It's pretty nice. Then I see it. Daisy and Rose were standing on top of the stage. I stared up at them. I wanted to yell at them to just leave me alone, but I couldn't. Not now. Not here. I just closed my eyes. If these wolves are really my sisters, then something happened before I hatched. They are GHOSTS. They DIED. What happened before I hatched.....

"A lot my friend."

"A lot....."

(Ending Notes: YAY ANOTHER CHAPTER DONE. Sorry, this took a bit longer. The next chapters are probably gonna take a lot longer because there's a lot of story incoming. Also, the voice at the end is a male, so it's not Daisy or Rose.... so who could it be, if not them?)
