"Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid."
- Albert Einstein
I sat at my desk in my bright pink room I shared with my younger sister Ocean and stared out at the depressing world we live in. Full of black and grey. Garbage overflowing the trash cans. Animals with no homes. It's all just so awful how no one is being loved. Everyone just mopes around here like zombies but we're not were living human beans with absolutely no emotions.
My name is Hazel Scott. Daughter to Brayden Scott, older sister to Ocean Scott, and I'm the daughter to my biggest role model Sophia Scott. But sadly a few months ago my best friend, my world, my mother had passed on. I'm not fully sure how she died; some people in our town say it was from unknown causes. Others like my father said she and my father had a secret divorce they never told me or my sister about and she can no longer stay here so she left us, but I beg to differ. Mom was always happy and chipper like me unless we went out in public then we'd all take our place as if we were in the walking dead. I believe that my mom and I are special. I don't know why or how or even what but I don't think I was told the full story.
