Long ass chapter ahead :)

I waited patiently but not excitedly outside of the councillors office, hoping I wasn't in trouble again. My couple days off gave me time to relax and think. It turns out the adress that Bolan gave me was the same lady who taught him self control and 'inner peace'. Bullshit.

The door swung open and a familiar handsome face greeted me. Monty, of course. When dont I see him? "Hello stranger." I greeted, pulling him in for a hug. He didn't hug me back much, just kind of rested on me. "Is something up?" I asked him. He shrugged "No, it's all good." He answered, looking away from me.

I rolled my eyes and brought his face down to meet mine "Listen, I know when you're lying. Just talk to me when you feel like it, okay baby?" I whispered, kissing his cheek. He smiled softly and nodded "Can I go to class now?" He questioned with a slight laugh.

"You wanna go to class? Are you broken? Are you okay? Jesus you really aren't mentally stable." I joked, intertwining our fingers. God, being near him was never enough. I just wanted to hold and hug him forever. Every little touch sent butterflies erupting into my stomach.

"No you cannot go to class." I told him, hugging and squeezing him tight. "Angie, I can't breathe." He replied, dramatically. I groaned and let go "Get to class then, and come see me after school if you're not busy. I need my blanket." I demanded, crossing my arms. He was my blanket. "Sure thing boss." He noddded before kissing my cheek and leaving me.

"Miss Foley? A word." The councillor called and I was snapped from my gaze. I walked into her office, her closing the door behind me. I slumped down on the chair and gave her a blank, cold stare. "I see you're close with Mr De La Cruz." She began, making me snort out a laugh.

"I guess so, we're not really friends." I said sarcastically, a fake smile on my face. "Well, how have you been doing? It seems you're having trouble, you've already been suspended and-" I cut her off.

"I'm great, thank you. What do you want?" I asked and she sighed.
"It's a hard time right now, and I'd appreciate if you reached out a bit more." She told me. I rolled my eyes and looked away. "Look, I'm okay. And besides, it's always a hard time here." I admitted, leaning my head on my hand.

"I'm also worried about Montgomery." She added, my ears pricking up at this. "His grades have been dropping and he doesn't seem to have much hope for the future. I know you two are close, please if you notice anything-"

"He's not been okay for a while." I stated, closing my eyes and taking a deep breath. "He doesn't have a good home life, he has so much pressure on him and now that Bryce is gone...it's worse." I added. "I'm trying my best to help him, because I know he needs everything he can get. Even if he doesn't admit it, I know it. And...I fucking love him. I love him unlike anyone else." I finished.

She looked at the desperation on my face. The desperation for things, especially Monty, to be better. I loved him and the only way I knew how to love was because of him.

"I see. I understand. We both want the best for him, so please, if you see anything or if anything happens...help him." She put her hand on mine, looking into my eyes. I hated teachers, councillors and even the janitors but right now...I wasn't sure what to think. I wanted to help Monty as much as I could. Even if it killed me.

I walked out of the office and down the hall to my next class, finding Clay at his locker. I smiled and tapped his shoulder "So, how's the life of a murderer going?" I asked. He turned around and shook his head "Uh, not good." He answered, closing his locker. "Did you just actively admit that you're a murderer, Clay?" I joked, furrowing my brows.

"No I-" He tried to respond but couldn't find the words. "I'm messing with you. I saw the article...not your best photo." I sighed, poking around at his face. I got my phone out and took a photo of him, his eyes shutting harshly after the flash. "This is your best photo." I giggled, showing him the photo. He rolled his eyes "You're the least funny person in this whole school." He chuckled.
